[VIDEOS] 3-Day practice match between Australia A [122, 91/2] and Pakistan [428, 152/3d] drawn

What is Masood doing? Charging straight down the ground instead of to the ball. He is playing well away from his body.

Shan masood has a poor technique.
stays too leg side of the ball, doesnt cover the line of the ball outside the off stump and puts no weight behind his drives by committing on to the front foot.
He'll need a lot of luck to score runs in test series

Has played all his life against trundlers in domestics yet averages 34 in first-class. His test selection earlier this year was questionable, which was based on his one-day domestic performances.

haris sohail hasnt even tried to settle in , he is a lot better player than this. At the moment though iftikhar deserves to play more than him.

Masood seems to have forgotten all his shots against pace. Nonetheless he has a chance to get his form back unlike haris

What I would give for Pakistan to run Australia ragged like this next week

I don’t think Haris Sohail is selectable currently.

Absolute trash since he landed in Australia. I thought he was a better player than this, to be honest.

Azhar looking awful like he has outside Asia all year.

Hopefully the Gabba will be totally grassless: he used to be able to handle bounce without sideways movement.

Azhar is dusted as an International cricketer and we made him captain :))

It's been a gritty inning from Shan, he has somehow survived. The only concerns left are Azhar and Haris, and I don't think they will perform this series.

Shan Masood is what he is.

He is a modest but thoughtful cricketer who has been intensively coached to maximise his ability. A bit like Misbah.

He will never have the ability of Salman Butt, just like Sami Aslam never will. But you can have a good Test team with 3 or 4 hardworking mediocrities in it.

Even the great West Indies did - Gus Logie and Courtney Walsh worked hard but had a fraction of the talent of their team-mates.

Iftikhar has been impressive since comeback. He has just put his head down and is fully focussed.

I suppose the Pakistan team Managment might be thinking to bat till the last session of that the Aussie selectors don’t have an easy time in figuring out who to put in their squad

I hope the seletor has a brain fade and puts Cam Bancroft in to open in the first test.

Rizwan needs as long a bat as possible and there’s nothing to be gained by the bowlers wearing themselves out before dark.

I’d like to see Pakistan bat another 40 overs so that they can experiment with a new pink ball under lights.

To be honest, the newer the ball is under lights, the more likely they take more wickets in 40 overs than in 60 overs (which would see the ball already go soft before its dark).

Pakistan should bat another hour then declare.
I think Pakistan can inflict maximum damage by batting until Dinner.

Australia need to pick two of these guys for the First Test.

And if Pakistan bowl with a new Pink Ball under lights, it could easily become 50-5 and mess up the Aussie selection completely.

Also Naseem needs some bowling practice as he will be bowling today if Pakistan declare.

Naseem Shah in his whites and spikes and warming up. Looks positive on the outside, of course a completely different story inside.

That visual of Naseem, So sad man.

I think Musa has supported him well. They are room mates and he has been consantly sitting with him. I'm pretty sure they are friends. So that's a positive, otherwise it would have been a lot more lonely.

Where have you gotten this information from?

What’s the PP verdict on ifti’s actual age

35-36. He will be past his prime when his official age would be 30-31.

Another Waqar Younis type situation, who bowled like a 40 year old at 32, because he was actually 40 in 2003.

The only positive is that we will be going into the first Test with a semblance of self-confidence, which is usually not the case whenever we play in Australia.

Do you reckon he can do well in Australia though? He can play the short ball decently and has a wide range of shots. He will probabably to better in Brisbane as the pitch is flat with little lateral movement.

Not hopeful. I don’t think he has enough pedigree to succeed against the Australian Test bowling attack. However, I had the same opinion before the T20I series so perhaps I am under a misapprehension.

Commentators are unhappy with many Pakistan cricketers having their shirts untucked. I agree with him. All players should have their shirts tucked in.

A pathetic short from burns pulling from outside off stump, considering you're spot in the test side is at sake.

Seems like a mental midget. He's under pressure and being quite lousy. His first innings dismissal was terrible, half volley and misses it.

Shaheen has some words with Burns then gets him next ball.

The good thing about Afridi is that he isn't afraid of sledging the batsmen.

Doesn't look like he's going full throttle. Obviously would be difficult given what he has gone through. Still bowling really well though.
