Lets this guy face Sri Lankan or Bangladesh bowlers and he will average 75 at home easy.

I admire your predictions as most of them are coming true now . You have been blowing your trumpet against Virat for quite some time now , from the moment he was in good form bashing mediocre attacks .

When you call someone a FTB and minnow basher you're actually taking credit away from a good bowler. :facepalm: Credit should be given to Junaid for getting out Virat in all three ODIs with great bowling.

He failed in the 4-test series down under...he then failed against the Pomms in the recently completed 4-test series as well...and before that he didn't quite light things on fire in England either...

He has centuries in both those test series.May be you start watching cricket.He was the second highest international run scorer last year.Didnt play in England.Now go and talk about Umar Akmal.
 
Whens the next Lanka tour for India. He will be back in form by that time.

Come on guys, 3 bad performances does not make him a bad bat. Junaid bowled exceptionally well!
I expect him to come back strongly in the England ODIs
 
Well Junaid has certainly ruined his reputation slightly. It seems he only succeeds on flat tracks with minimal movement. Please do not tell me he's performed well in Australia. I know he has but their are flat tracks in Aus too.
 
Unmotivated team. Pakistani fans missing the point as usual here, there is a larger issue going on with team India.
 
Ok. Now that he is coming down a few notches I believe we can revive the kohli vs uakmal debate

Player pedigree in modern day cricket is a bit like company share prices
Share prices go up and they go down

So one one day you are winning some tikka masala t20 league and the next week you are out in the first round of a t20 international tournament

Alot of bashing but it was just great bowling by Pakistan and India under pressure, however he is highly over rated and not as good as the Indians claim, i would rate both Jamshed and Akmal higher then him.
 
Umar Akmal (most hated and despised cricketer of all time on PP) says Hi to Virat Kohli and all Indians, India. :)

ahahhahha this kohli is a joke as ive said all along played good in some odis and suddenley he has become a world beater :D best joke of 2012 i heard.....how much did he average over the last few series indian fans.....playing on flat tracks in odis of course helps your average ..play against decent bowlers and then you get found out simplessss

kohli has an attitude problem bounces around like a bandar(monkey) chirping away after getting owned by junaid khan he should have some shame :D

If someone like Bresnan gets you out without major deviation off the pitch then you know you're in a bad patch.

He'll overcome it, class player.

More than half of his ODI hundreds have been against SL (5) and BD (2). Almost all hundreds in subcontinent (5 in India, 4 in Bangla, 2 in Lanka) except one hundred against Lanka in Australia and one in England. Just saying.......
 
Kohli has certainly got the Akmal virus. I think both Junior and Kohli should meet up and find a solution to their issue :).
 
Guy was clear about it beforehand that he will have a bad patch of form. So might as well cash in on the good form he had. Plus it was Sri Lanka he was playing against. Upto him to crawl out of the hole every batsman gets into. He is hardworking and gifted. He should make it out.

Not really, but the way Junaid toyed with him.. made him look like he was some tailender not the "best" ODI batsman out there..
 
Best ODI batsman out there is actually Amla. He doesn't play that many games unfortunately. As for Junaid toying with him, well Junaid is quality. No shame in getting out to a quality bowler.

PP's treatment of young batsmen having a bad patch continues to predictably disappoint.
 
He has struggled against the tall quick man bowling short at him. Morkel, Finn & Irfan have troubled him a lot.
 
Any batsman can go through a bad patch and Kohli was smart enough to recognize that and make full use of his good form when it lasted.

This is again good for his development as a player. Sports has its up and downs, it is how you utilize your good times for making runs and what you learn from your bad times that will define you as a player in the long run.

Kohli is not a flash in the pan. He will be back and better.

he is just going through a bad patch...he will bounce back...got way too much class....so expectin him to come good pretty soon...imo he is gonna be one of the GREAT ODI batsmen of all time when he hangs up his boots...and i trust him to come good even in tests...may touch GREATNESS in tests too...for dat we ll have to wait and see...
 
Bad phase may do him more good than harm. Last year's glory run can make him too confident and careless, now he will have the motivation to repeat the run again.
 
Considering how Virat Kohli is seen as the Second Coming of Tendy, I was surprised to see what his Test stats actually were. I thought they would be better. Maybe he is more of an ODI specialist.

proves my point joke of a player most of these games were at home flat decks and crap bowlers............no he is a crap odi player only good on flat decks...thats coming apart now as well as i predicted even jadeja is good on those ....or maybe not :D

for the moment may be .Give me any other test specialist of his age or less in today's world cricket?. Thing is test cricket demand a different approach and focus. Sure he is learning the art and will come better soon.

14 tests is not enough sample size to judge a player, especially considering his ODI record. A joke of a player cannot average 38 in test cricket after 14 games. A joke player would be out of the team after 5 tests max with all digit scores.
 
He is a good batsman who is out of touch but I am sure he will bounce back strongly only if he is not facing Junaid Khan :)
 
I know he made only a 30-odd, but seemed very composed throughout IMO.
 
Considering the way our openers left I will say very well played to see off the new ball.... A decent inning too
I am sure once he starts owning England he will make it a habbit..
