JK has the wood over him quite clearly.

Call it bunny or call it what you want. He struggled against JK like he has not struggled against any other particular bowler.

but it was only 3 matches in seaming conditions.Don't think Kohli has played any other team in such conditions either.Even there one dismissal was due to great catch by Kami rather than great bowling.

also Kohli wasnt the only failure of that series from our side.everyone except Dhoni failed.

by same token Junaid would be Dhoni's bunny as he scored over 100 SR from JK without getting out.Would you say that?I won't it was such a short series.

Bunny term is used when a batsmen gets out to a bowler atleast 5 times.I haven't seen anyone use it for 3 matches

Re: Virat Kohli

Never heard the five match rule for bunny to be used tbh.

I think when people see the head to head between the two - 26 deliveries, 3 dismissals, for like 5 runs (these are incorrect stats but it was something like that as I recall) - its good to have these rivalries in sport.

Young gun vs young gun.

He's a complete player and back in form * greatly * by the looks of it .

I'd love another Junaid/Kohli face-off soon .

Its like an unwritten rule.I've not seen anyone being labelled a bunny after getting out to a bower just 3 times over one series only.that too in ODI format.

Its good to have rivalries ofcourse.I'm not denying that.I just think its too early to say JK won it.We need to see them more.

Great batsmen often fail against lesser known bowlers. Tendulkar-Cronjie, Inzy-Tendulkar, KP-Yuvi, Ponting-Ishant, Kohli-Junaid :kapil

Kohli's lucky he doesn't play Junaid/Pak more often - that average of his would come hurtling down.

Always hilarious to see how Junaid laid waste to him in the India series. In a Test series (which Kohli will fortunately avoid for a few years) it would be even more hilarious to see Junaid destroy this Kohli guy.

I'll mark this post for future reference. Something tells me I will get many chances to throw this on your face in future :)

lol Cars :))

Virat Kohli

It's only a matter of time before Kohli clicks in Tests. I won't ve surprised if he ends up with 25+ centuries.

And when this prophecy expectedly doesn't materialize, we'll enjoy watching this cars guy scurrying for cover as we sip on some red wine in celebration. :91:

Backbone of Indian team unquestionnably! Has singlehandedly won his team atleast 16 matches goes to show how important he is especially in ODIs.

I looked at his average and was shocked

51 ONLY?? Then I came back to Earth and realized- He does not bat against his own bowlers :P

^Some people wont leave an opportunity to dis Tendulkar, even if it means to praise another Indian player.. :))

Btw what a knock though

It goes to show how great he's become when the bowling side rather take his scalp than Dhoni or Yuvraj.

nonsense. Sachin played against ATG bowlers.

Kohli is a great player but the quality of bowling isnt the same.

Although true, but what does that say about the other batsmen around the world, you only bat against what's put up against you.

people fail to realise how flat the pitches are in india and the aussie bowling really poor...they have no spinner so obviously these totals are manageable.

that's why I keep saying Indian bowlers aren't as bad as PPers say it to be ,it's not great but it isn't bad either,on these roads even Mcgrath would have given 7/Po against the likes of Kohli,Dhawan

yh all bowlers struggle on these decks plus india have batsman that can cover kohli if he fails....other teams cant, this allows him to play with freedom.

Tbf to Kohli, when he does it against SA next people will realise how great he is.

He's had a good tour of SA in 2011. Didn't do too well in any home series against them though.

Even though I agree the pitches played a part , you don't see other teams chase huge scores like this. Most of them collapse under pressure.
Great innings from Kohli

So when :kohli smashes part timers like Watson & Faulkner on roads, its all talent and he is ATG but when :junaid shows :kohli his real class on decent pitches its all pitch fault...:))

due to the depth of indias batting .....they players can play free and go for they shots

:kohli beast ... youngsta beauty !! I understand beast and yiungsta beauty don't go together but that's basically how you define kohli....classy and ruthless

kohli is overhyped IMO ...... if he was really that good he would be flying along in test cricket

truth hurts i never said he aint a decent player hes just overhyped....after doing very little in test cricket ....you cant be a true leg without mastering test cricket

He's played 18 tests and averages 41 with 4 hundreds and 6 50s. Not spectacular but not poor, especially considering the inexperience.

Didnt say its pitch fault.JK surely bowled well there.

Just saying its not enough to call him bunny or other nonsense.Just like I wouldnt call Johnson Kohli's bunny or whatever

:afridi whyyyy i said hes a good player but overhyped some indians have elevated him too a an atg all of suddenn......when he averages 55 in tests and has played for over 10 years get back to me.

beauty of a post! Loving it!! :))

P.S. 10 years is a long time.. I'm sure you won't stay here for more than 2 months.. contact please..

Another sensational knock by Kohli while chasing a huge score. Very few players can play these kind of knocks consistently.

Your logic, common sense, cricket sense, reasoning, English.. Everything seems to be broken.
Another bloke to be added to ignore list.

Keep up the alcohol induced posting ritual of yours. :)

Comparin umar akmal to kohli is like comparing tsotsobe to malcom marshal
:)))

you keep up you rituals and bow away to kohli....your used to it:afridi:nj:ibutt:30:

He really stood out on those so called flat pitches like Sehwag used to in tests. There are some players out there who just do it in style and make conditions seem irrelevant. Proper bully!

You didn't get the point but i will excuse you since you guys know nothing about batting anyway. :23: :23: :sachin

He might be in top 5 ODI batsman today. But comparing him to yesteryear greats is insanity.
Today apart from Morkel no bowler avg < 25 in ODIs.
In 90s each team used to have 2 such fast bowlers except India.

:D those indian flat tracks and that heat has got to the kohli fans heads.....they becoming disorientated an disillusioned with what a cricket pitch is and what a road is......no wonder the pitches are like roads and the roads are like pitches....:D

Last time we toured SA, Kohli avg'ed in that ODI series 50 :D

Halfway to ODI greatness, 2015 WC will give be his ultimate ODI test. If he succeeds there, he'll be an ODI ATG in my book.

Regarding tests, i'm really really looking forward to see how he performs against Steyn/Philander in December. That will give us an idea of how far he'll go in tests.
