Petersens new dance!!!

Absolutely superb bowling spell there by Taylor. Well done lad !

lol Test at it best....love the TEST CRICKET...Sulieman Jamaal Benn is the MAN...

Ever since Gayle's taken over, there seems to be some sort of positive energy with this WI side. The England ODI win, the RSA Test win, the drawn series v SL; heck, they even ran Australia close a couple of times. They're definately on the right track to redemption. Welcome back WI!

Wow! Fantastic bowling by the Windies and Taylor in particular.

They suddenly look like a useful side.

it's kinda hard to notice that suleiman jamaal benn got "MOHAWK" hair style lol

Oh my, just come back from the shops, England were 11-2 at lunch. Turned on the TV, first shot I saw was a close up of Strauss looking pretty glum. Knew instantly something serious was happening, the only question was how bad, looked at the bottom of the screen and 26-6. Cricket can be a harsh game.

England score card reads like a telephone number 904116002, no one getting double figures so far.

IPL claims another victim ?

First Australia and now England ?

Oh no, they are talking about Headingly 81 now, Comparisons of Botham with Flintoff anyone

WHAT has happened in this test????

the last i checked and Gayle was out in their first innings.. 150 odd runs behind

and now the match has spun around and England cant even Bat???

WHAT EXACTLY PRECISELY has changed?
has the pitch been filled with bolders?
or have England players been doped?

someone describe this rubbish performance in as few words as possible

the area england are meant to be strong at.. bowling.. even they failed
batting ?

big four oby flintofff

Strauss not happy. hawkeye says just clipping the outside of leg stump. a bit harsh in retrospect.

not harsh since it was HITTING even hawk eye proved it? wheres the problem?

Thats one of the most remarkable days cricket - EVER!

WINDIES WIN

these same bowlers were abused by the commentators in the 1st innings

benn has been the lynch pin.. left arm SPIN :):) come on montyyyyyyyyyyy

IPL and contract problems, not a happy team in carribean !!

wot is NASSAR talking about?

all the articles priot to the match were TEAM is happiest ever Etcetc

CONGRATZ WINDIES... that ball from Taylor to Pieterson will leave Pieterson mentally incompetent... what a great delivery that was....

Excellent team effort from the men in red..

Well done West Indies.

They've been threatening to put together a performance like this for some time. In this game they've shown the necessary intensity throughout the match that they've lacked from odd sessions in previous matches that have allowed strong positions to slip.

If they can carry on playing like this, they are well and truly back as a force to be reckoned with in Test cricket.

As for England - we bowled OK yesterday and today. It was to West Indies credit that they dug in and grafted as they did. Unfortunately our batting was below par in the first innings, and non-existent in the second. Perhaps now something will be done to break up the cosy clique, which should have been done months ago.

Congrats to West Indies on this incrdible victory:14::14:!!!

Strauss: "We were entirely outplayed by a very good WI side. We've not done outselves justice. Our bowlers stuck to the task well but we batted very, very poorly today and paid the price."

"Now's not the time to be too hasty on these things. We haven't played well. As a batting unit, there's very little positive to come out of this Test. We have to take it on the chin and move on."

Dismal Performance by England. Ive said it from the start, England are to defensive. There mind sets and their attitude. Its a disease, right from grass root levels, all the way to international Level. Anyone Agree?

Also, they are crap.

This is something that the Windies seem ready to do now, it certainly hasn't been so in recent years. The way they batted at times appeared dull certainly not calypso cricket, but they had a plan and stuck to it, showed application and put a price on their wickets.

This more conservative approach was noticeable in NZ recently, it was frustrating that they didn't push more for victory there but then when you think about it this is a team that has performed appallingly overseas in the last decade so a drawn series against another major test side away from home was a major achievement for them.

Looks like Gayle and the team management have taken stock of their limitations and the approach now certainly seems to be a more sensible and forward thinking one.

It's only one test but the omens are very promising.

Well done to West Indies. They deserved to win this match. Taylor destroyed England. Couldn't actually believe it the way England played. Benn bowled beautifully too.

Because even Hawkeye said it would have hit a coat of varnish on the outside of the leg stump, hardly what you call plumb.

:)) :)) :))) :))) :)))

England got Absolutely hammered!!!

Ripper of a performance from the Windies!!! :afridi

Well Done WI!

A little unlucky perhaps, but Hawkeye said it was hitting, so nobody can have any complaints whatsoever about that one.

Unlike with some of the decisions in this Test match, which has seen some terrible umpiring. No side was either massively favoured or disadvantaged by their incompetence, but Hill and 3rd umpire Harper were truly awful.

Ah, the tables have turned again...after Lords 2000 and Jamaica 2004 we have witnessed Jamaica 2009...another batting collapse in an England v West Indies game. This kind of event always feels like a surprise, but if you think about it, it isn't really. The two sides have always brought out the best and worst in each other.

Has Hash posted yet? lol

Personally, I'm glad it happened. If we're going to lose, best that it's in this fashion, so there can be no excuses. No to mention we have 3 tests left to drop a few players and respond. We came back after a bad loss in New Zealand last year, to win, so hoping we can do that again.

Cricket never ceases to amaze me...a few years ago it was England, Australia and Pakistan playing the best cricket; look at how bad they all are now, and how the other teams have improved.

in my opinion the umpiring was definitely awful, and the referrals should be scrapped. the experiment has failed. they are slow, just as inaccurate, and take something away from the game. an absolute disaster!

I read in Cricinfo that england would not play test match with Bangladesh in England after 2010. The way they played today it seems even Bangladesh can beat them or challenge them for that matter. Shocking display from England.

my word i knew england were ordinary but i never knew they were this bad

If it makes you feel any better, the Windies are equally capable of matching your team's performance in the next match.

I saw it live via an online stream.. and boy it was fantastic... what a delivery.. the stump went miles indeed...

Pietersen has a bad history of getting out to Windes now. Remember Pietersen helmet which came off by Bravos bouncer
