Will the West Indies collapse in a heap?

West Indies 312 & 40/1 (14 ov)
Pakistan 393
Stumps - West Indies trail by 41 runs with 9 wickets remaining

Amir is all class.

A moment of silence for all the haters.

West Indies are going to win it. Pakistan will choke it in. They needed to have West Indies 78/6 to have a chance to win this.

Lead 2 runs. Need at least another 250 runs to push for a victory. Else the game in pak's favour

This is the West Indies.....don't worry 1 will bring 2. Their line up is always ripe for a collapse. On this pitch Shadab and Yasir should be able to run through a team.

The pitch is playing well..

The issue is westindies real batting comes after 5 , pakistan in trouble.

That's a cracking catch from Younis. How old is this guy again ?

Even Chase is doing the same. Playing every delivery that is pitches way outside leg and spinning with uneven bounce with his bat. Asking for trouble.

Probably because padding the ball is quite an unnatural thing to do for any batsman, since day one they have been taught to play with their bats and not let the ball hit their pads/body. Also padding a ball carries a great deal of risk as well, because you don't know how much it is going to spin and bounce, if it misses the pads then the ball is going only one way and that is into your stumps.

Hasan Ali should come in next match no matter what result comes from this one.

Cover the stumps with your body and hide the bat. You are not going to get out.

Pak will soon give up bowling that line as they will be pushing for the win more than WI. Caribbeans will be happy with a draw.

In whose place? Amir looked excellent so far and Abbas wasn't half bad either. Both picked up wickets. Maybe drop Shadab, but he lengthens our batting and his bowling will improve.

shadab at the moment isn't a good choice to play as a 4th bowler in 4 bowler attack.

Yeah , Shadab is not ready for test matches yet and he needs couple of first class seasons to understand art of long spells bowling. Hasan Ali should come in or Mohammad Asghar if it is a spinning track.

Intriguing session. Need to dismiss Chase early - he's the difference between a small 4th inns chase and one that could really challenge us.

Lot of cricket to be played and a few heroes waiting to be made! #Shehzad :D

All down to this session I think. If Windies dont lose wickets and score another 100 runs, they could make things almost impossible for Pakistan.

For my money, give Amir and Abbas 7 overs each, attack with the field, multiple slips etc and see what happens. I'm sure they'd get a wicket or 2. Then give the ball to Shah and a short spell from Shadab then rotate the pacers from one end.

I don't get the pessimism here. West Indies are effectively 30-3 on Day 4, on a wearing pitch.

Wickets will fall quickly here. They could very well be 50-5 in a matter of a few overs. Still very much in the driving seat here.

great bowling this from yasir! couple more overs of sustained pressure and wicket will come

Why are people worried? Windies are going at 2.5 RPO and if I've learned anything from reading match threads over the last two weeks, it's that even if Windies set us 300 to win they will lose for not batting at a 'modern' run rate.

we lost 3 wickets chasing 30 odd in the last match.

Pakistan in a lot of trouble now!! knowing WI strength lies in the lower half, you'd expect WI to score at the very least another 125 . . which would be too many for Pakistan on teh 4th innings . .

I also disagree with this line of attack from Yasir shah! You're taking one or maybe two modes of dismissal out . . as a change up, around the wicket is fine . . he needs to go back to over!

Who the hell sets Shah's feilds? They went about doing this rubbish in Australia, they can't be doing it here against a weaker side, surely? A legside heavy field...Shah should not be so obsessed with the rough, especially with a fieldl ike that. Get someone in close on the off side too. Shah needs to start bowling a more positive line than this.

If the Ball goes out of shape .... why does the Fielding side complains .... does it not make more difficult for the batsman ??????? Hmmmm ..... !!!!!

Respect to Shai Hope, has been battling hard despite three failures in this series so far.

But but but, our 2.5 RPO has ensured that the damage from WI's RR of 2.5 is effectively (2.5)^2.5

This is quickly getting out of our hands , its spinning but it is slow.

LOL at the folks who thought the Windies will be just sitting ducks for our mediocre team.

West Indies will easily add another 150 runs and the target will be between 230-250 which is way too much for Pakistan on 4th day.

Anything over 250 is usually not chased in the 4th inning and definitely will not be chased by a week batting line up like Pakistan.

WI is going to win this match by 70-80 runs.
