What's new

West Indies v Pakistan | 3rd Test | Roseau, Dominica | May 10-14, 2017 | Day 4

Why are we batting so slowly

Should have scored 150-175 by now.

Should have a lead of atleast 275 by the end of the day.

WI is already out of this game. Not sure why some PPers are not seeing it.

Embarassing

I have a feeling Hetmyer will go off Chief Destroyer

We are not out of woods yet - ideally the lead should be over 300 but 275 should be sufficient.

Yasir and Amir should stop clowning around and start rotating the strike.

Surely, WI is not going to last full day on this pitch.

If Windies plays shots, they won't last a day. If they are happy to tuk tuk, it will be hard to get them out.

The pitch has nothing for bowlers, nothing for batsmen. With the turn and bounce Chase was getting on the morning of day one I thought we were in for a game where the pitch deteriorated a lot but it hasn't happened. There has been a couple of cutters that got some extra bounce yesterday but that was about it.

Most of the runs in UAE, and for last 3-4 years, one good test inning after 9 failure on average. Insisted on playing last WC and what he did, less we talk is better. Still wish him health and happiness in life .

Ungrateful fans like you don't deserve great players like Younis
shaz619 - what we got here?

Would have helped to have a decent finger spinner to support Yasir. Same as in the last test match really.

Yup Yasir will be crucial in the final innings & in the absence of a supporting spinner, we need the pace bowlers to bowl a tight & consistent line without giving away any loose deliveries.

To be honest - since we don't have Wahab - I think our three pacers should be able to keep things tight In-Shaa-Allah, and allow yasir to pick up wickets at the other end

OK, I saw just a little bit and didn't realize that pitch is still decent. Well, WI is not chasing 250 for here. Just the pressure of chasing 250 will be enough despite pitch being not so bad.

how can a spinner bowl so many no balls, amazing

Hope it's a matter of extraordinary batting and not pitch getting easier to bat on

Pitch won't suddenly change.

Pacers more difficult to get away. Even Yasir leaked more runs in the first innings then any of the seamers

True!!

I think Windies already feeling it

Yes it all started with no ball followed by amir's drop.

We need 300.

I am sure Amir has been fired up by windies with some sledging so hopefully he will up his pace.

Final day pressure will be huge. Windies aren't going to win from here, we should be able to crowd the bat and really turn the screws tomorrow.

This is the kind of intent the batsman should've came out with in the start of the second innings.

It's so funny our tailenders especially Yasir and Amir always score for us when we need some runs.

I think they know we've got enough so now just going for it to see if they can get some quick runs
