They won't score 280 to win. But Pakistan might need 100 overs to bowl them out.
 
Pakistan have enough. They should declare, and bowl 10 overs.

Try to get 2 wickets today.

If not, it might end as a draw.

In all seriousness it's surprising how well these two bat together when the rest of the team fails.

Just look st how many runs have been scored on each day of the test match including this one so far and then tell me how on earth are insides going to get close to 300 on the fifth day??????

More runs means we can set attacking field and crowd the bat. He's right to keep batting,

Like I've been saying it is much much harder to attack the pacers on this wicket.
 
Should keep on trying to score no point defending get as many as possible as quick as possible.

If west indies get 30 runs without a loss of wixket today, then getting 250 in 90 overs wont be a big problem for them as they have shown they could bat.

Pakistan needs to get 300 so that even if west indis smacks us for 30 runs today we woukd still be in the safe zone

With the right intent, Windies CAN win. Yes, the odds are against them. If Windies give Vishal and Shimron the license to go after the bowling. It will be possible. But once it exceeds 300, it will hard to sustain a run rate of 3+ for a long period.
 
Misbah is infuriatingly conservative.

I know that in Pakistan that can be a compliment, but where I'm from it's an insult! :)

He has thrown away several Tests in recent months - Edgbaston, Melbourne and Bridgetown. Each time a winning position was turned into defeat by negative Misbah tactics.

And he has now squandered the opportunity to have ten overs with a new Dukes ball tonight, tomorrow morning and tomorrow night.

Windies aren't going to try and smack anything tonight, it would be idiotic of them to do so.

Still, they could take a risk or two to get to 30. But now it looks like we will get to 300 so we are in good position.

Why would they risk losing any batsmen tonight?

They will score 10 runs in 6 overs tonight, and try to preserve all their wickets for tomorrow.

If Pakistan had given themselves an extra 35 minutes to bowl tonight it could have been 25-2 in fifteen overs instead of 10-0 in six overs.
 
Want abbas to get a 5fer , cant remember the last time a pakistani fast bowler got a 10 fer. 2006?
 
Brave declaration. If Pakistani tailenders can smack it around then it is clearly still possible to score runs here. Still, this does give Pakistan its best chance to win.
