Watched a heap of good movies this long weekend let me try to remember them all.
Non-Stop - 8.75/10 - Wow this movie was good! Don't you just love Liam Neeson. The movie had me guessing who/how the person was messaging Liam. It was driving me insane, the twist at the end was amazing.
Taken - 8.5/10 - Honestly don't know why I haven't watched this movie, I've heard mixed reviews about it but honestly watching it I loved the movie. It was so very satisfying in the end.
Taken 2 - 6/10 - Meh not nearly as good as the first. That's bout all I can say about this movie.
Unknown - 7.5/10 - Another excellent Liam Neeson movie. However, I do have to say there was a lot of throwbacks to The Bourne Series. It's a movie that you would expect Bollywood to make if they were going to copy The Bourne Series, I guess minus the plot twists in this movie. Not taking away from Neeson's performance and the movie in general it was still very entertaining and had me confused.
Flightplan - 7/10 - Okay so all these airplane realted movies were popping up in my suggestions so I decided to watch this one too. Not as good as some of the others but still enjoyed it.
Final Destination - 8/10 - Not scary at all. Dunno why it says horror movie. It's a slasher movie and a damn good one. From the beginning the movie has you locked in, and I did not think the plane was going to explode like it did. From there on that theory of death and how the kids who left the plane cheated death is exhilarating a must watch for slasher fans.
Air Force One - 8/10 - Great Harrison Wells movie. Enjoyed the fightback from President Wells, overall just a fun movie and at times unsettling movie to watch.
Sully: Miracle on the Hudson - 9/10 - Okay from seeing news reports and interviews and stuff on this to actually seeing what happened from Captain Sully's view is amazing. The fact that insurance officials were trying to blame Sully for landing the plane on water and losing the plane is just disgusting. I mean you've got to be kidding me they were more concerned about the loss in damage of the plane then Sully saving 155 lives. However this is a great movie and if anyone hasn't seen the movie and remembers this taking place live should certainly watch Sully.
United 93 - 9/10 - This movie almost made me cry. I don't think there has been a better movie on the events of 9/11 then this movie. It's just sad, the director does a great job of making you feel like you are on that plane with all those innocent people who just set out on a normal days trip. The people who committed the atrocities of 9/11 just disgust me and then these people have the audacity to call themselves muslims is just sick. I just ahh those people and all other terrorists group make me soo mad. In regards to the movie it was very well done like I said and it's a must watch
The Walk - 9.5/10 - Ahh I needed something playful and joyous to watch after the sad tragic story of United 93. This movie was great and I can not believe that Petit actually did this in real life in the 70's. Truly amazing story and makes you realize that if you put your mind to it you can do anything. The ending also hit me hard when Petit says that he was given a free pass to attend the Towers whenever he wanted, but they had a expiry date. However he says that for his pass the person who gave him the card crossed out the date, "and he wrote on it........... forever" and the movies ends with a shot of the twin towers. Damn that hit hard.
