Romeo + Juliet released in 1996 starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. A weird movie set in modern times but with Shakespearean dialogue used. It's a polarising film. You will either love it or hate it.
Romantic comedies? This is my time to shine:
-500 days of summer
-Ted
-50/50
-Bridget Jones diary
Last but not least
-Love actually
Not much into romantic movies but have to fess up. I really liked "One fine day" George Clooney and Michelle Pfieffer. Also the "Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight" series is brilliant as well.
Remember watching the older version in school, the nudity and sex scenes had the whole class chuckling away![]()
Law Abiding Citizen.
Gerard Butler can act
Exam
7.5/10
An interesting movie which goes along with a little suspense and confusion.. 8 candidates are finalized and called up for an ultimate selection process for a highly profiled corporate Job in an exam hall and given a blank paper to answer a question which they need to figure out within 80 minutes of allotted time under 3 rules given by the invigilator.
I watched Harry Potter the 1st one on ITV yesterday hehehe....
Watched The Dark Knight Rises yesterday, brilliant film, at least IMO, however the ending was a bit of an anticlimax. Marion Cottilard is shockingly underrated, was superb.
Except that her death scene is one of the lamest ever.
Watched "The girl with a dragon tattoo" Fincher's version once again. Criminally under-rated in my opinion. Made me think of why I go back to watching his movies over and over again.
Fincher's movies have a certain dark and mysterious almost a hypnotic feel to them. A unique amalgamation of the eeriness found in Cronenberg's works, the bizarreness of Lynch and the peculiarities of Polanski. It's like your watching an intricate nightmare, something very sinister and cold, playing out in front of you, piercing yours senses, terrifying your subconscious, but you are fascinated by it. You know the story, you know the dialogue, you how it ends but you need that hit of brutal and surgically sterile reality. It's your way to make sense of your surroundings. To keep your existence in order. To nourish some underlying gloominess that you long to remember. Whether it's Seven, Zodiac or Dragon Tattoo, the murder mystery has never been done with such characteristic command of the subject. A true genius in my opinion, the best in his class. A perfectionist.
that is a damn good movie. I'd give it 9/10 :azeem
Absolutely, Fincher's Se7en, Fight club , zodiac or Girl with dragon tattoo are a unique experience to watch. Even his other movie the social network and The curious case of Benjamin Button are brilliant to watch. His next film Gone Girl is also a mystery so it would be a treat to watch perhaps.
There is one dark and sinister film Blue Velvet by David Lynch which comes close to this category.

was it not called " Test " ???
The Cronenberg movie name was Crash not Drive.
Hated that movie!
Was it a good film? Also, by "Older version", are you talking about the one from the 1990s?
Was a fantastic film! One of the 10 or so Hollywood films that I have watched.
it was from the late 60s - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romeo_and_Juliet_(1968_film)
Blue Velvet was class. Dennis Hopper scared the living daylights out of me. When he appears with his cronies at Dorothy's house with Jeffrey there, it was the first and only time I almost screamed in horror. Dude was a boss!
David Lynch has an habit of trolling his spectators by putting "horror" scenes at unexpected moments... particularly remember one scene in Mulholland Drive.![]()
Looper. I found it enjoyable . Levitt is so underrated
8/10
Mi Vida Loca
a movie about girls' gang in Mexico
Singh Saab the great
Sunny deol still stuck in 90's same old stories about villain dragging in family of hero

Why you bothered to see " Singh Saab "
Its a massive flop , even before release![]()
Add this movie too. Brilliant movie.Thank you! Will try to make time for at least one of these tonight!![]()
Has anyone watched the new Hunger Games ?
I personally would some info, as I haven't followed the series at all, in books or films.
Read the book . its fantastic
Could you state the books in order, incase I can't find them.

Not sure which part of the trilogy I like the best. They would all rate as 4 or 5-star films though. Difficult to objectively place them any lower.
My favorite movie over the last two years
Dark Knight was the best of the Trilogy. Although DarkKnightRises too has to be given the same importance as the way he finished the movie was the best to finish a Trilogy. Nolan-Hans Zimmer combination is just out of this world.
And who said that?? She is a French actress. Her masterclass movies are in French. I became a fan of hers after seeing her in Taxi and Public Enemies.
You watch movies! The Book of Daniel

This rating has been low, but this is brilliant movie, and i urge everyone to watch this movie.
watched insidious 2 yesterday - so boring, really bad acting, 2 characters in this film which are so terrible. 2/10
gonna watch the conjuring - brother recommended me this, got good reviews
First part was pretty good.
Conjuring is good choice , I hope you enjoy![]()
that is a damn good movie. I'd give it 9/10 :azeem
So, you listen to me. Listen to me: Television is not the truth! Television is a God-damned amusement park! Television is a circus, a carnival, a traveling troupe of acrobats, storytellers, dancers, singers, jugglers, side-show freaks, lion tamers, and football players. We're in the boredom-killing business! So if you want the truth... Go to God! Go to your gurus! Go to yourselves! Because that's the only place you're ever going to find any real truth
But, man, you're never going to get any truth from us. We'll tell you anything you want to hear; we lie like hell. We'll tell you that, uh, Kojak always gets the killer, or that nobody ever gets cancer at Archie Bunker's house, and no matter how much trouble the hero is in, don't worry, just look at your watch; at the end of the hour he's going to win. We'll tell you any **** you want to hear. We deal in *illusions*, man! None of it is true! But you people sit there, day after day, night after night, all ages, colors, creeds... We're all you know. You're beginning to believe the illusions we're spinning here. You're beginning to think that the tube is reality, and that your own lives are unreal. You do whatever the tube tells you! You dress like the tube, you eat like the tube, you raise your children like the tube, you even *think* like the tube! This is mass madness, you maniacs! In God's name, you people are the real thing! *WE* are the illusion! So turn off your television sets. Turn them off now. Turn them off right now. Turn them off and leave them off! Turn them off right in the middle of the sentence I'm speaking to you now! TURN THEM OFF...
