Will Pakistan travel to India for Asia Cup 2025?

will Pakistan travel to India to participate ?
will there be a hybrid model?
or will Pakistan boycott it??

Mohsin Naqvi clearly told that Pakistan will not travel to India for any tournament
recently ICC had mediated a solution for the next 3 years in which it is agreed in principle that Both countries will not play in each others country and Pakistan will participate in Worldcup T20 2026 and will play all its matches in Sri Lanka

but remember that mediation and solution is only for ICC events
Asia Cup is not ICC event and so far this matter has not discussed between the boards
so far there is no consensus on it

if Pakistan agree to sent its team for Asia cup and refuse for ICC events, this doesn't make any sense
with Mohsin Naqvi set to take the ACC chairmanship what do you think will happen?

will Pakistan manage to get a hybrid model or will agree to come to India this Oct for ASIA CUP ?

Pakistan agrees and travels to India.

Fast forward to 2026, India refuses to play Bilateral series in Pakistan.

It will not be in India. I think the tournament will once again be moved to Dubai with BCCI being host board.

If it's t20, why so early? Aka before 2026 wc? If it's odi, then what's the point of hosting one after CT?

I think where PCB chairman got things wrong accepting hybrid model is assuming that hosting Asia Cup is a matter of prestige for Bharat like CT seems to be the case for Pakistan.

In reality, a successful or failed Asia Cup is the last thing BCCI cares about. PCB's *** for tat may not exactly work as expected.

But icc tournaments are more profitable than Asia cup .one more issue is every one knows pak is the main card for Asia cup even for bcci to pretend it's not a big deal to host Asia cup.

The principles are built on weak foundations. Money/international standing outweigh these principles which makes them pointless other than for PR purposes at home.

But why?

India don't want to travel Pakistan due to security concerns. The merit of it can be debated but it is what it is. BCCI has stuck to this stance since 2008 Mumbai attacks. However, Pakistan has travelled to India in 2012, 2016 & 2023. So what will be the reason for Pakistan not travelling to India suddenly?

'Just because you are not coming, we will also not go' is not good enough reason I am afraid.

Anyway, Asia cup will be played in Dubai...so issues this time. However, Pak team will be travelling to India next year for WT20 2026 to play the India game and finals (if qualify).
