Jews have made a lot of breakthroughs and have been very important in the development of various communities and their research is invaluable, however it's all pointless to some people if they're murdering children in Palestine like it's nothing.

My intention was not to disrespect any prophet or religion. If you crave a simple answer to an enormously challenging question, then it is this -

The (formerly so called) local working classes of caucasian origin in these countries no longer have the jobs, earning or economic security that they became accustomed to since WW2. In the last 20 - 25 years the knowledge economy has passed them by & left them marooned. They are looking for someone to blame - other than themselves.
This has given a wonderful opportunity to all sorts of demagogues, major & minor who can spin a largely right-wing narrative of "outsiders" coming in to take away their jobs, traditions & lifestyle. These outsiders could be anybody who is handy - Mexicans/Latinos in US, Sub-saharan Africans in France, Turks in germany, any one of numerous groups in UK (including, hilariously, Polish handymen, Romanian fruit pickers etc). And of course - dare I say it on this site - Muslims.
But the ORIGINAL outsider, ever since the early middle-ages , have been the Jews. So they are not immune, indeed far from it - in this general wave of hatred for the "other" that is being fomented by dishonest politicians, so called leaders & frankly criminal right-wing demagogues everywhere.

Palestine, extremist Rabbis, racial/religious superiority. Jewish extremism is localised to (mainly) one area, whereas Muslim extremism is more wide spread so maybe that contributes to anti-Muslim sentiment more?

Though, I will say that there is a huge problem of anti-Semitism in Muslim communities (and in fundamental Christian communities too). It is obvious by some of the posters on this thread and on the forum.
