I said yesterday that I’m sick and tired of this batting like snails in every single match. Unfortunately this is the ceiling for this group of players.
 
Poor batting by Pakistan top order and an under-confident Fawad has resulted in this. Now we're playing catch-up as usual, and will have to bat well to get a draw.

What'll happen in the 2nd innings? The experienced fighters, Azhar, Fawad will be out under 10.
 
i said earlier in game Aussies get 350+ here would be a good total.

Firstly , he wasnt sure of his stance, repeatedly changed it over the years..

They should just let him rot in domestics, not get him anywhere near the national side..

Good teams and bowlers, will always chew him up easily with that laganwalae technique..
 
Sajid should be dropped for playing a pathetic shot he played let alone his club level bowling.

Pak deserve every bit of this for being such cowards and never taking initiative. At this stage I wish Aussies pulling out due to covid or something would have been better than this dross and torture, was so pumped up for this series.

Surely he is a better bat than those two...i've seen him hit a few in white ball cricket, has a decent defence as well
 
When you got people like Imad and Fawad in your batting lineup, you can’t afford to have such a ling tail. Pakistan deserve this humiliation.

Babar needs to hit some quick runs now and knock off as much deficit as possible before we get bowled out.
 
Babar’s been excellent, doesn’t deserve to be in a side with such misfits.
 
This is why you should make runs while you are in.

Instead we approach every innings as if they are playing to save the game
 
As one of the posters rightly called out, the collapse starts with Fawad 50% of the time he bats. Again, it started with him in this match. Had he stuck around for 40-50 runs then we wouldn't be in this situation.

Rizwan saved our sorry **** last match - he wasn't able to do it in this innings, but will come good in the second.

Saud Shakeel for Hassan was a no Brainer, even Fahim would be better choice.
 
Hassan, Shaheen and Naseem will barely last 10 balls between them against Cummins and Starc. As I type that, off walks Hassan.
 
100+ lead for Australia. Wow. They'll massacre us tomorrow, and the test fighters will run into their holes on Day 5.

Babar needs to take the intiative and farm the strike. It has been great bowling from the Aussies. It will be a fully deserved series win.

Good intense spell by the aus quicks, just showing how reverse swing can be done on such pitches. fantastic bowling

because they can score some runs... Hassan Ali has been poor ever since the T20 WC and after that Wade drop catch, he forgot how to bowl, bat and field...
 
Need some Babar-Riz Day 5 heroics to not lose this series.

7/51 at Nagpur 2010. that spell was golden. full length bowling and ball reversing at high speed. One of the top three of my all time bowling that i have seen. That was sheer magic.
 
If Aussies win this test and therefore the series, they deserve to frankly, what with Pakistan's horrible defensive pitches and tactics.

PCB was happy for this to be a boring 0-0 draw, it seems anyway. And if that's the case, happy for the Aussies to walk away with a series win.

Having said that, of course, it'd be great if there is another great innings from Babar or someone to save it from a bad situation.
 
Such a long tail tbh. Naseem should have been in place of Hasan.

To be honest even Babar's slowed right down after getting 30-40.

The root cause is the team, management and even our chairman are absolutely terrified of Australia. Saqlain, Yousuf, Ramiz all still have PTSD from the hammerings in 90s and 00s. Ramiz literally hires coaches because they're Aussies and must possess some superpower.

They have too much mental scarring hence dead pitches, negative bowling lines, defensive fields and inexcusably constipated batting even when set.
 
looked like sliding just about kissing the leg stump surely you get benefit of doubt...but even babz slowed slowed down so i guess we deserve thsi humiliation
 
In the forth test in sialkot , pakistan should give chance to saud shakil who can bowl a bit as well. Sameen gul has been a good performer at dimestic level , needs a chance.

It is a good idea, to have extra bowler who took 4 wickets, but should have dropped Fawad knowing that Aus knows how to dismiss him with that technique ..

Also to play Nauman and Sajid for the 3rd test without any performance to speak for....

Babar Gone, Aussies have lead over 100 here. Which means they have plenty time to score quick and declare.

Pathetic batting will be reason for test and series loss.
 
came back from a length and burst past Babar's inside edge as he shaped for the flick, once he was beaten, there was no way he was surviving this. Good call from umpire Ahsan Raza
