Ok, some balls are bouncing slow, some skidding through but still a good batting wicket.

If thats the case then Kumble has under-bowled himself!

I´m gonna support Aussies from onwards, can´t see Heally crying like that :)) .

Not a typical Perth pitch but anyways thanx mate.

whats he saying?

LOL.
Earlier Hussey pulled Kumble ferociously in the direction of Rauf who did well to move him self out of line in the nick of time. Benaud went on at length about the interesting possibility if the ball had hit Rauf and ballooned it could have been a legitimate catching opportunity. No mention of what it would have done to the umpire.

Senility has made him a sadist. ;-)

Should we now ban both Asad Rauf and Billy Bowden for wrongly giving out Hussey and Symonds !!!!!!!

Symonds had enough of his lucks .And he needs 3 more dismissals or howlers like that to even out .

Asad Rauf has been giving the batsman out regardless of height. Not accounting for the Perth bounce.

Bowden. He should take get some glasses, mate.

bowden probably knew that was not out ... but he's got to think about his career .. if india don't get the calls .. he might get bucknored ..

why didn't he think that about a close LBW shout against Ponting then ?

he is not a player to get bucknored :9:

bucknored (verb): when a player is a victim of a wrong decision by some visually impaired umpire.

What about Pathan given out lbw with a edge in the first innings? So Symonds got a raw deal similar to Pathan

Hope you mean three good LBW shouts Dhoni - even the most optimistic Indian would not have expected those 3 to be given out.

No mention on Channel 9 of the noball anyway - even if he did overstep what's the point of going on about it? It's still out according to the scorebook.

This is the way I feel too. Apparently the Symmo LBW was an inside edge, and the Hussey dismissal was probably going over the stumps, but the bottom line is they've been given out and that's it. The only reason I mentioned it is because from the whinging that had been going on over the past week here you'd think someone had died in Sydney.

I will never ever whinge about umpiring or use it as an excuse for a loss. I expect my team to overcome challenges like these - if they can't then they didn't play good enough, simple. You have to maximise what you can control to overcome what you can't control. Cricket, like life, is often not fair, but you have to overcome what can seem like unfair situations if you want to succeed. Warren Buffett didn't whinge about how unfair it was that he was born poor, nor did Martin Luther King whinge about being born black.

Back to the match - I think the OZ will do it real tough now. Gilly can take the game away from India, but he can also get out real quick. And bar Lee the remaining 3 are all bunnies. Realistically India just need one more wicket.

Tendulkar and Dhoni also suffered the same in the 1st innings. Ball was going over the stumps in their case too.

I understand your pain at seeing Hussey being given out.

Pain? I'm not feeling any pain about the umpiring mate. Pain that we look like we're heading for a loss, but not because of the umpiring. Everyone knows my philosophy - I will never use umpiring as an excuse for a loss as long as we are still in with a chance to win, however slim it is. :)

Let's move on from the umpiring decisions and get back to chatting about the game.

The umpiring in this test has been ridiculous, but atleast it has been unbiased. Unlike in the case of Bucknor, who is itching to raise the finger now matter how absurd the shout against India.

The Clarke and Gilchrist partnership is taking hold and the Aussies need just a little over 200. While we (i.e. India) are in pretty good shape right now, the Aussies are world champions....a 150 run partnership between these two would be curtains for us.

C'mon India....another wicket!!!

this looks ominous!!..they only need 200 odd...totally gettable...we need another 2 wickets fast before hanging the "mission accomplished" banner

Gilchrist smacks another four.

Right now the game is 60-40 advantage India. Gilchrist and Clarke are exceptional batsmen who can easily turn the game around (especially against our bowling attack).

I will be much more optimistic once another wicket falls.

anyone having memories of Langer/Gilly , ...they attacked back in a similar way

Clarke gets to his fifty with a glorious four...and another four by him. Target is under 200.

I'd say its 80-20 at the moment mate - Gilly looks very dodgy and if he goes the tail is exposed.

Australia now establishing themselves in the drivers seat..a wicket needs to fall soon or else we are in deep trouble.

Gilly gone .Need 4 wickets as quickly as possible .Never can relax against these Aussies .

All you have to do is ask. :))

I think it's a bridge too far. Clarke will have to score a ton and the other four will have to score an average of 25 each. Clarke may yet score a ton (though nobody has scored a ton on this wicket in the match thus far so the chance is very slim), but I can't see the other guys each getting 25 runs.

I'm not sure the Aussies can use umpiring as an excuse in this game anyway as apart from the Symonds decision the other decisions have been even.
The previous game however was a series of howlers.

Pup still needs to be neutered too... So there is still chance for Aussies...Don’t lose hope too soon.

We are also famous losers to snatch defeat from even the safest position.

Guys ..don’t relax now...we need to get Clarke also...come on fellas...get onto Clarke...Jumbo...time for another snorter/cobra..

Brett Lee gone caught at bat pad. The fat lady is clearing her throat...

Assie commentators were just going ga ga over how this test is just 180 runs to win for oz. Let’s wrap it up guys. :))

Yeah, this healy, taylor and Slator are commenting like Aussie spectators. Doesnt sound at all like expert commentery.

The first rule of commentary is to devoid yourself of any personal favourites

OMFG IM LOVING THIS HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA

makes clarke/symonds running through our batting a little better since sehwag is doing it.

Clarke the last man standing on the burning deck now… :pissed:

Get him, and we’ll be through!

You must have a different interpretation of "going gaga" to me mate. I'm watching it as well and all they were saying was that Clarke and Gilly were starting to look settled and that India needed to break the partnership. If you think that's going gaga, then fair enough.

Virendar is doing Clarke to aussies.

Darn..poor Bhajji’s career is ovah’… Ishant is in love with his GF ponting...and Now Viru is taking wickets.

Bhaji..take a vacation and do some bhangra :))

I'm going to have to go to bed soon otherwise I'll pass out at my desk - I can't see the OZ winning from this position. If Gilly was still in I'd stay up and watch it, but I think our last chance went when he went. 5 weeks of 3-4 hours sleep each night is taking its toll. :D

You are work on Saturday? Man Aussies work hard.

Advanced congrats to the Indians btw - it was a pretty awesome Test match all told.
