They are swinging their bats and its coming off but sooner or later there will be a top edge or they will miss one. Stranger things have happened (like being 39 for 6 on the first morning and winning by 340 runs) but it is unlikely.
Just sit back and enjoy it because this has been a fantastic game of test cricket.

What a win!! This has been a great day. Two great matches....one just concluded and another in progress.
I was watching the Federer game and boy is he in for a scrap. 5 setter and Federer unsure whether he still has a measure of his tenacious opponent.
It is 2 set a piece and I wanted to see what India was up to - and boy oh boy what a win for the team. From the lows of Melbourne and then the issues at Sydney, this team has indeed performed way above expectations. And to think that we stopped Australia yet again on 16 and yet again that master batsman VVSL was in the thick of action - it is deja vu all over again.
Wonderful win and I hope we win the Adelaide test too and return 2-2
with a little bit of luck and better umpiring we could have been 2-1 up now.

Above all ,it was test cricket at its best .The drama ,the excitement .Fantastic finish ,yes gave us some heart pains .But it was still wortrh gold and made this test match even more memorable and beautiful.

I've been calling for Sehwag/Pathan to be in the team since day 1. I'm glad it all played out. Pathan did really well, Dravid went back to 3 and finally regained his form, Lax was still able to contribute despite going back to 6. Ahhh what a match!

Not yet . I think the next few years will see many countries competing with Australia . Once the psychological edge is gone Australia will have to win purely based on talent ...and going by that their bowling and aging batting leaves a lot to be desired .

but to be honest, this Australian team is much inferior to the West Indies teams of the 80's. they would beat the living day lights out of this aussie team.May be Steve Waugh le(a)d aussie team was better than this team because of McGrath, Warne,Steve Waugh,Mark Waugh, Langer, Martyn are proven performers, under pressure! but their presence makes a huge difference.
even if this current team had scraped thru somehow, i would still feel they are no match to the WINDIES of 80's.

The aussies are in good shape. The two best performers with the bat, Johnson and Clarke are both youngsters and the future of Austrailian team. They also have plenty of backup when required. David Hussey hasn't even gotten a run at the team yet.
