I feel the same way, it's a shame he has a mental block when it comes to LOIs. I honesly feel that if he can overcome that, or perhaps even hit a maiden century in the ODIs he can become a solid #4 for Pak.

It's a bit strange that Sarfraz looks so comfortable and fluent in Test cricket but doesn't look convincing at all in LOIs. No batting position seems to work for him, and I think that has a lot do with the fact that fields are not defensive and spinners don't bowl long spells.

He likes to dictate terms, doesn't look good when the bowlers take him on.

Azhar, Shafiq and Sarfraz should all score 15-20 Test hundreds in their career, maybe Azhar can go up to 25. If he overcomes the nervous 80s and 90s, he could have had 12-13 already, and then people say the former two have been bad investments, as if Sir Fawad Alam would have scored 30+.

Both will end with a ~45 average as well, with Sarfraz ~35-40 I reckon. His average will take a hit after the tours of Australia, New Zealand and England.

Every batsman plays many 'struggling' innings in his career, but some have the balls to fight it out while others throw it away after petty 20s and 30s.

You'd rather have a batsman score 30 at a SR of 90 and then play a hack shot like U. Akmal over someone who is struggling, but still fights it out for an 83.
