i reckon our work cricket team could have done about the same as these guys..i reckon I could have made at least 1 or 2 runs against the windies no problem!! so does that mean im as talunted as these guys??
 
No matter who wins here. But m sure that the Pakistan camp must be licking its lips as one of these teams are likely to meet them in the quarters. Hmmmm a goat being fed well before being thrown among hungry Lions:afridi

Not really surprised West Indies are going to beat them today. There's still a big difference between quality of players from West Indies and Bangladesh. Bangladesh can beat stronger teams on a good day (and if the other side has a bad day). They are still not better than the likes of West Indies or New Zealand. However they're still improving and in a couple of years they well could be.

West Indies the problems they have is that they have so many bad days, as their players don't gel together effectively as a team. Similar to New Zealand these days to (though WI players are generally more talented).

I think if I'd grabbed 10 blokes in my lecture and taken them to Dhaka we could have scored more than 58 together against West Indies, not even joking

Guys, I'm really Sad for Bangali Fans. I saw a very impressive video on youtube with focus on motto "Never Stop believing". and from their passion, i reckon they never stopped.

For that to happen my friend, there has to be some reason which will be beyond cricket. On cricketing terms, its just not likely to happen. Pak will thrash anyone who comes in their way.
 
beating Bangladesh alone would probably be fine for 4th place, thanks to us getting something out of the India game.

That would be a hopeless lack of ambition though. Windies are ranked 9th. Have to beat Windies too else we really are rubbish.

I actually think we can win all three remaining games. But have to win at least two of them else no point in even turning up for the quarters.

I'm sure you only need to beat one of them. Win both and you'll be 3rd. Loose against West Indies and you'll go 4th. Loose against Bangladesh, you'll either go 3rd or 4th.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to beat both to go through.
 
I have a question. why hasn;t the west indies taken thier powerplay?
 
Put too much pressure on themselves despite the captain saying it was not a must win game.

i know its a team game .. but team also look to those players who are in form ...... and :afridi mashallah is in form

westindies dont have all 11 players in form :) neither do any other team
 
and that's the game.

a 50 over match over in less than 2 hours.

Indian bowlers are like Santa Clause. Every time you confront them, they will surely bestow ample gifts on you. I wont be surprised if facing an Indian bowling attack every time they bat would be the dream of most international cricketers. No wonder Bangladesh got their share of the pie when they played India.

my advice to the bangladeshi fans is unfortunatley quite straight forward..first find 11 decent cricketers then believe..

as the old proverb says:" if they call you a donkey the first time ignore it, if they call you a donkey a second time consider it, and if they call you a donkey for the third time buy a saddle"

my village team from pakistan called teez gaam cricket club would have battered these guys..lol..
 
And sometimes back some of the Pakistani fans were eager to swap Shakib and Tamim for Afridi and Umar Akmal.

Only Roach is a world class bowler, and Benn can be handful too. Apart from these two Windies attack doesn't seem threatening.

Candian attack wasn't threatening too, but we made them look World beaters. :p
 
Roach and Benn seem to have hit form of some sort, they're looking pretty deadly at the moment. Cricket is a confidence game.
 
Bangladesh may just have done England a big favour here, by helping to eliminate the NRR factor between England and India.
 
a pity really, what could have been a cracking game turned into the biggest humiliation ever seen in a WC.

Congratulations West Indies.

Commiserations to Bangladeshi fans, you deserve better than this.
