One thing that has been good in this year’s IPL is that the franchises are trusting their local middle order players more than the overseas ones

Plenty of decent/okaish middle order batsman are getting to bat ahead of some established T20 middle order batsmen

This is the way to go. You need to find and build your own Millers/Davids/Russells etc

These guys will not be there to bail your country out in major tournaments

Rinku Singh , IPL history will remember him. KKR need to get rid of Russell and bring in Jason Roy and David Wisse , this will make there team much stronger.

Some saying Rinku Singh innings better than Brathwaite

One was in a T20 cup final one is in fun league

I don't think they say that. But purely in terms of probability, Brathwhite's task was easier when the over started. 19 needed in 6 balls. When Rinku got back the strike KKR needed 28 runs in 5 balls. He cannot miss even a single ball. Nobody has achieved a task singlehandedly ever even in IPL.

I think Roy is not necessarily a great choice for IPL. He is past his prime now and even when he was at peak, he didn't do great in IPL. If Russell can bowl, he is still useful because he can be used in death overs and is still a very dangerous striker of the bowl so if you bowl him in slots, the ball is guaranteed to travel.

Shahbaz Ahmed is probably one of the worst player ever to play in IPL...! And he is batting at No.4... RCB's rich history of having super-value players in their team!

We can watch many freak knocks and praise them but when Virat is on song he is a sight to behold. Class apart. Absolute legend.

These two are dangerous pair , the day they are set , they can put the team into strong position.

Break this partnership and win the match - is the mantra playing against RCB

Simon Doul: "Kohli took 10 balls from 42 to 50 looking for the milestone, should have kept going especially when having wickets in hand"

For others i agree. with Kohli especially for RCB he doesn't really have to care for it. He can score ten golden ducks in a row his fans will be right behind him still. It is his weakness again slower pace especially spin that comes bkac into him

I don't understand what kind of milestone it was, and how it really mattered him!

Exactly he has been playing for so many years. scoerd 4 centuries in as ingle IPL calendar year. This is not a milestone by any stretch of imagination. May be for someone noob. Not for Kohli.

Not everyone is perfect like VVS Laxman against spin bowling!

Faf playing the anchor role.

Very slow.

Match up is very very vital. if you have two batsmen out in the middle both cannot afford to have same weakness.

This is RCB's game now.

Rahul is not capable of chasing this big totals.

How many years of Unadkat does franchises have to see to decide that he is useless? Avesh Khan is another useless bowler. Bowling length at 120-135kmph is inexcusable at this level.

Even at slower speed you still have to land accurately something Avesh never did

Kohli is not a good T20 batsman. He does not have that super gear where he can accelerate at rapid pace like some T20 greats. He is a steady batsman who can be contained.

He could still produce impact knocks. He used to be one of the best against spinners against guys like Ajmal. His weakness against spin got worse in the last 2 or 3 years.

Kohli is the reason why RCB have poor record in Chinnaswamy.

His 130-135 strike rate knocks get overshadowed by opposition players who would strike at faster rate than him.

I hope Rahul Dravid is watching this and realises that we need a 90mph plus bowler in the WC.

Disagree. Kohli scored 48 off 18 and 40 off 18 vs Pak and Aus respectively without the other batter hitting even one boundary.

Kohli just scored a 44 ball 61.

Rizwan would have been murdered on this forum for such a strike rate.

Hypocrisy at its best.

It is a high scoring ground. But still 213 is a massive target. Although this is Rahul's home ground his selfish approach may kill his team.

Kohli is not part of T20 team anymore i believe. He and Rohit will be dumped. They were not picked for last 2 series.

If you want to take on high pace bowlers like Archer/Wood he can still be your guy which is why who he bats with is important. He should always bat with someone who can be dominating agianst spin.

Mayers has to put on a show here to get anywhere close. Rahul is a selfish guy. He will waste balls in the name of anchoring.
