Pakistan scored a lacklustre 233-9 in their 50 overs

NZ need 234 to win.

Good luck Pak!

there will be plenty of bounce after the rollers, they need to use the light ones so they don't crush the grass off

i dont think this pitch is as good as the commentators were making it out to be

new zealand will surrender inshAllah!

:aamir :gul :naved :ajmal :afridi :umarakmal

this match will be a cracker.

Predicting Aamir MoM with a 6-wicket hall! InshaAllah!

I actually really want us to (cricketing of course) KILL THEM! I dont know why but they really annoy me!

hats off to aamer Umer akmal yusuf for sensible batting...afridi/malik need to take lessons from the 17 yr old aamer

There's nothing wrong with the track. Moyo and co played horrendously. Hats off to Aamer and iDone. Poor batting overall, like always.

Having said that Pakistan will win today Inshaallah.

Having said that, Pakistan is not good enough. :(

When did you come with that gem? :)))

The pitch is a stunner. Our batting antics were a joke, unless you're talking about the antics of a certain no 11 :ajmal . His Dilshan in the final over :14:

:) How long is the interval? Its 3:21, I want to watch 2 overs and sleep.

Does that mean we'll lose the final? :(

Pretty annoyed that the first ball of the final over wasn't given a wide, and how Akmal junior was given out. No matter, tailenders's partnership may just give Pakistan something to bowl at.

Waqar was saying before the toss that the pitch isn't as good as it seems.

We lost this....A flat track and we struggled to 233..

So, what was the deal witrh Vettori and Aamir... I didnt see anything except the Comms mentioned that Vettori had quite a bit to say to aamir... Does anyone know what happened

My assessment of Pak innings.

Mistakes:
-I can't come of a single reason why they chose batting 1st on this pitch... The batting will be very easy in 2nd innings.. (Aamer + Ajmal showed it!)
-Weird Batting from Pro Batsmen (Mohammad Yousaf and Umar Akmal) After the 30th over, all the hardwork was done, and a platform was set for a big one.. But instead of grabbing singles/doubles and looking for an odd boundary, they started to play like Afridi.. Hit on everyball.. That not only wasted their 5-6 overs, but also it cost 2 very vital wickets.
- Even after the departure of MoYo and Akmal, 250 plus was a probability, but thanks to Stupid cross slog shots from Rana/Gul.. It was all gone..

Overall, they are 20-30 runs short... But if they bowl well, they can still win it...

Sleeping is for the weak. We need you to stay strong and long at the laptop, just as saviour of our side showed. :ajmal

first of all Pakistan needs to get Mccullum early bcos if he gets going than were done

From here.

What Dilscoop, it should be called iDoneScoop from now on.

I guess Rana and Amir have to take wicket early. We need 2 wicket very early. Mccullum and Gupit. Than spinners will fix match for us. INSHALLA.

Umar gul need to talk with ball today .

We should have played Asif,,,, Asif would have seam and bounce....

this is big big mistake by not playing him.... Look Gul is a good bowler. but in this pitch we really needed Asif..GOD HELP US:::

I think it's 60/40 right now.

NZ would be happy.

Pitch might be getting better.

Nope.

Gul would be better on this pitch. Asif wouldn't get any assistance.

First 15 overs hold the key for our bowlers and fielders

3 wickets and the game is wide open again!

InshahAllah.

Rana is supposedly an allrounder but I don't remember the last time he did anything worthwhile with the bat.

NZ are really intimated by Pakistan yet we showed them far too much respect.

Good! Presumably you noticed none of those second-innings chasers were against Pakistan. New Zealand have strong history of choking against Pakistan, let's just hope they do so again today!

When Vettori said he can chase 300 easily, he wasn't bluffing... :13:

He opened for Yorkshie in T20's. For Pakistan, that is good enough to play a player as a specialist batsman alone. :naved

Hasn't had much of an opportunity, has he? Either he doesn't get to bat or we're collapsing.

Does anyone actually know how long the interval is?

1. Shahzaib
2. Nazir
3. Akmal
4. Khan
5. Afridi
6. Omar
7. Razzaq
8. Rana
9. Aamer
10. Ajmal
11. Gul
12. Asif

Yes, but can they pace their innings for a 234-runs victory against their nemesis Pakistan? As posted by someone earlier, New Zees to lose......

Ajmal done with bat, but now Ajmal must done with ball.

I'm pumped for the second innings. We'll grab them by the scruff of the neck, glare, then spit. We'll put the fear of God in them. Come on Pakistan!

I was relieved to read that.

And yes, Inshaallah to it!

I approve of this modus operandi. :))

I reckon Ross Taylor is the dangerman. Really good against spin, especially slog-sweep.

If we get him early, our spinners can have a strangle-hold on the game. :ajmal

Ok so NZ will rely on the likes of Guptill, McCullum and Taylor. I can see no other batsman really threatening against the likes of iDone and :afridi

We should pump our fists like wild wildebeest (fists, yes) and rampage over this lineup.

guyssss

BREAKING NEWS

i heard new zealand is missing alo of their good batsmen...

Yeah Fleming's not playing, niether is Greatbatch...

We should come out with energy, the extra 30 runs must have really pumped up Pakistan and we need to show it on the pitch with lots of energy and ruthless intimidation. :p

I don't blame him. If Waqar was there, even 134 would have been enough.

Pakistan to win Inshaallah.

Dont you know, Waqar still mentally bowls when Pakistan plays...

Parnell took 5 wickets against NZ in the group match
They cant be assumed to be too comfortable against left arm fast bowling. And Amir is going to get decent bounce today.
Maybe Amir can have a special day today!
