England should stick with Leech , he should be given a longer run .

25 runs partnership so far, 22 overs to go for the day from here
NZ seem unsure of what to do at the moment. Attack and go for a win or just scratch around and see what happens on day 5.
You need to go for win , you never know England may collapse under pressure
We should get a result here. Who knows all these wickets falling could be a blessing in disguise for NZ, leaving enough overs for their bowlers to have a crack at English batters in the final innings.
England have undoubtedly worked hard, but none of the NZ batters got ripped out by unplayable balls. Looking at each New Zealand dismissal, all seven of them were poor:-
Bad leave.
Misjudged sweep.
Poor cut shot.
Run out.
Botched hook shot.
Holed out.
Another run out.
280 or below can be chased by England on this pitch tomorrow. They only need to score at 3.5 an over and play sensibly.
Like the Lord’s test 2004, where England were set 270 and did it rather easily with Nasser and Thorpe at the wicket.
It can be done, with three excellent chasers at four, five, six.
Rangana Leach with the first over this morning.
Would England go for 275+ or just be content to survive and secure a draw ?
Stokes has said he isn't interested in drawing games. Its the second game of his captaincy so im sure he will to showcase his aggressive style.
They will deffo go for it.
I hope they do something unconventional like sending Johnny out as an opener.
This is fantasy land . NZ aren’t some Minnie team . Draw or NZ win are the only two results , draw 75%
Didn't say they would certainly win, but they will definitely go for it up to a certain point before trying to shut up shop if it goes wrong.
Lets wait and see!
England need to use drinks for a quick chat. They should get a lid on this now and tweak the strategy — 300 (4.25 an over) to surely be the maximum desired chase.
They can do this. Other than Creepy, the top seven are in form, Jamieson is crocked and Southee is chucking massive pies.
Wondering if the more observant amongst us posters care to comment on the bouncer attack Stokes and Broad did on Boult? Comments were slightly more free flowing when Jazz boom bounced Anderson at Lords last year.
that said good test match, set up for a thrilling finish, hope Eng goes for it - NZ have 4 bowlers + Mitchell - if Eng plan well and target the right moments - this should be one cracker of a chase.
what a difference a year makes. Last year 1st test vs NZ, England refused to even Attempt a go chasing 270 in 70 overs on day 5.
Here in 2nd test they are showing intent, This is what happens when you play positive cricket, which in turn breeds confidence.
This didn't seem as savage as Jasprit Bumrahs, who bowled massive no balls to deliberately injure the batsman.
Perhaps its because an Indian bowling fast was a shocking sight which when combined with the ugly action, sinister nature of indians in general and the blatant cheating, generated more comments.
Nasser Hussain on England's more aggressive approach...
After declining the chance to chase down a similar total at Lord's last summer against New Zealand, England are going to take this one on...
"Different management, obviously, with McCullum and Stokes. Different opening line-up as well - I think it was Sibley and Burns on that occasion - and there was no Ben Stokes at Lord's either.
"I reckon if Stokes had been there, he might have tapped on Joe Root's shoulder and said, 'we are going for this!' Well, he is here now, he is in charge and they are going for this.
"It's set up perfectly 263 more in 63 overs, nine wickets in hand and still every result possible."
Two words:
Chris Silverwood.
