India could not have a 50+ opening partnership in AWAY tests since 2011.

Vijay looking very good here dont get why he gets a lot of hate by Indian fans

Very good decision to drop Ashwin. Every series he plays ahead of jadeja over seas and loses his spot to jadeja in the last test

Not to forget jadeja picked up a 5fer in South Africa

The question should be on Anderson. Without clouds, he can't get our hack Vijay :))
Why do you call him a hack he looks like a good solid batsman. IIRC he did well in SA too. Maybe as a Pakistani im impressed with any opener that survives the opening 10 overs :Farhat

anderson 7 overs 40 runs 1 wicket thats a high economy rate his average isn't coming down under 30 anytime soon

He looks solid and very good on eye, alright. But you never know when he's going to give it away.. Always been his problem

Am going to Trent bridge on Sunday- hope the game holds on for that long!!!

Else I stalk the Indian team and Mujahid them!!!!!!!

No he had a technique once, then IPL ruined it....man was decent in Aus tour of India in 2010 i think? but more of IPL got him playing loosely....needs to tighten up

Dhawans technique is loose , Vijay can loose his concentration ...even in SA and NZ he played out iniitial 20+ overs . The point is , he dosent deserve the hate for small improvements he needs in his game .

I guess his case is like that of Ravindra Jadeja before he found success and jokes subsided. But to say that he gets hate is a bit of stretch.

Good to see Vijay race ahead to 40 already!

Yeah so am not hating him mate....wrt Dhawan- still dont think he belongs at test level- whilst thing with Vijay is- he does belong at top level....hes more a test player who got ruined playing too much LOI/IPL etc

You point about Chennai is gibberish to be honest, take that chip off the shoulder mate.....

Only the first session, but if conditions hold up, I expect the match the to finish as a draw provided England's noobs contribute.

Thats more of a mental issue than a technical one. Technically he looks very good

You must be a gifted clairvoyant to predict a draw after barely an hour's of play.
Yes, read again

Both team's have poor bowling line ups and decent/strong batting line ups, I expect them both to score big.

Ooh...almost knocked the stumps over.

Solid start from India here. Pacies should have bowled full and at 5th stump outside off.

Leather hunt for fielders. This match is going to be a draw...
Cooky could find some form here, triple in the offing.

Still think if there's going to be a result, it will be in India's favor if they score big in the first and put pressure on England's noobs.

Yep, Indian bowlers are his only hope. Just like your Macca found form against us...

LOL always wished for the fall of 2nd wicket on IND test matches during weekends/ when we were in a good position so that i can watch SACHIN :D Purai aadat

So India go past 100 for 1.

During their last series at this stage, they were already minus their main strike bowler & bowling with 2.5 bowlers on the field.

This is what I'm thinking.

The main problem for England these days is the new drainage systems at the test grounds. They suck all the juice out and turn the wickets into shirt-fronts. Our seam/swing bowlers are no good on these.

Is it Murray mints o time yet?

India should look to bat for first two days or possibly till lunch on day 3 & make the English bowlers bowl to dust. It might help them in coming matches.

As far as this match is concerned, it looks like a draw most probably unless of course someone bowls out of his skin.

Indian look like they are up to score 500

English commies keep moaning about this pitch now they know how SC pacers feel like
