YES!!!!! get some more drinks!! Get me some valium!!! Some one slap me silly- expecting a pig to fly through the window any time soon!

Oh dear Mr Stokes. Pair in the match, though you did bowl well.

By bye Chef for a bit, bye bye Matty for ever, bye bye Geordie Hobbit for the moment.

Booooooooooooooooooom.

WHAT A SPELL.

This is UNREAL.

Haven't seen an Indian pace bowler bowl with such brutality as how Ishant did to Broad.

Broad Gone. Pathetic player of short bowling.

Ishant bowling like a legend. Bowling with a lot of pace and extracting bounce. All effort.

Right now I reckon the Windies could do a job on you in England.

I don't know ANY Indian bowler who could do stuff like this.

Now we have a blueprint for Moeen Ali and Broad for the rest of this series (provided we get lively pitches).

Would be amazing if Ishant gets 8 wickets.

Hard to tell who will get Man of the Match award.

I would still give it to BK. He is the one who made this possible for India.

After struggling against Mitch in Australia...England have decided to take on the short pitch deliveries and have thrown their wickets away...Seems like a real weakness for them..Thanks to Mitch for leaving the scar.

Exactly! I don't know what they were doing attacking every single short ball. Maybe, they wanted to show how 'manly' they are and they are going to take the challenge head on. Pretty stupid from England, if that was the case.

Nah they just can't play the short ball. I guess with the slope as well as the bounce they are panicking and trying not to get hit.

Agreed.

Johnson has mentally destroyed England really bad. They have not come out of that mauling from him and looks like they are mentally shot.

Jadeja needs to bw bowling from other umpire's end. Dharmsena has been robbing Jaddu throughout this innings. :livid:

Five England batters bounced out by an Indian. I thought I'd never see the day.

Damn we should have got umesh instead of that trundler bunny.

No bud. Ashwin should come in for Binny.

Shami has to go and some pacer has to come in.

See for us 3 pacers is what is the MAX.

Just like England or Australia would play 2 regular spinners max on a dustbowl as opposed to 3.

Its what is natural.

If Ashwin were there with Jadeja today, we wouldn't have got such a scare from Moeen Ali-Root combo. But again nobody would have picked 2 spinners on a green track.

Except Akash Chopra who said our win in 2002 came with 2 spinners (who come into the game in a major way in the 2nd innings of the opposition).

Convict, how can one bowler possibly do so much damage to a team? How hard is it to forget about it and move on?

Very good captaincy by Dhoni. He was great and it was hilarious to see Indian bowlers bouncing out Eng batters one after another.

Impressive win from india, england actually played a lot worse than the scorecard will show as they had easily the best bowling and batting conditions in the first dig and wasted both.

Brilliant by Dhoni, according to Ishant he forced him to bowl short and to use his height...It worked out brilliantly. England bowling short did not work to Indian batsman as this Indian team isn't worried about short pitched stuff.

Michael Vaughan, Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special

"I hope Ajinkya Rahane gets the man-of-the-match award for the way he stood up, in really difficult circumstances, and got a century on the first day on the greenest-looking pitch I have ever seen."

Atrocious batting against the short ball by the English batters. This wasn't a slingy left armer hurling it at 95 mph on a lightning quick WACA. Dhoni is usually a rubbish captain but he astutely asked Ishant to bowl short and voila - Ashes 2013 repeat! They need to play Finn in the nets more often! Even SC bats are not that afraid of a little pace and bounce!

Johnson crushed the entire structure and minds of English cricket.

Let's not get carried away. The County structure appears to be still there, and half this team never faced him.

What he did was expose a weakness to very fast short stuff, which to be fair most teams have. When on form he's as good as Tyson, Lillee or Marshall and remember how much damage they did to all-comers.

Let's give Ishant a bit of credit rather than rubbish England here.

England have forgotten what to do in tight situations. We saw that many times in the last three tests and again this afternoon. Root and Moeen did well and got them into a position where they could win. But Prior and Stokes are in no form and that chase was always going to be beyond the bowlers, who can profit on flat tracks when there is no pressure on them to succeed and can play freely, but lack the mental approach to chase after a total.

I don't think English batter even bothered to practice against short ball in nets for this series.
