Does anyone know what he pitch is like? Was a picture of the pitch posted somewhere online?

England will come hard at us. I expect us to be under the cosh pretty quickly here. We need to remember the lessons of the previous match, which is to grit it out. Expect us to lose wickets, but I hope our batsmen can grit it out again.

the key is to hang in there and I believe each batsman knows his role. The openers job is to see of the new ball even if it means one of them is batting slowly. The key is to protect younis and misbah for as long as they can and then let the middle order grit it out. I expect a crazy score in the first morning if we bat first. And then a rear guard action to fight back.

let's hope for best and Pak team don't put themself under pressure for no reason what so ever.

I think win toss and bat?

This looks like the type of pitch Pakistan would want to play on, spin and reverse swing will come into play
Should ideally bat 1st

Cook wins a crucial toss.

Pakistan needs to get a few early wickets.

Misbah sounded quite depressed there, hope they weren't pinning all hopes on winning the toss and batting.

Need to hit the ground running.

Early wkts and apply pressure, no freebies.

Interesting to see how Amir fares, should be more relaxed.

Amir and Rahat need to show a lot better control with the new ball then they did at lords, hopefully we can make some early inroads into the england batting so that Yasir can then run through englands middle order.

come on pakistan!

hopefully pace bowlers ll b able to control their line n length here
it was horrible start in both innings at lords (even though we got wickets in 2nd innings) there were too many loose deliveries in last match

Englind missed the trick here... Adil Rashid would be handy in 4th innings...

Wow dry pitch.

I think if we can keep England to 300 and then bat superbly to get 400 we are in here.

Thats bad, it's dry wicket and we loose toss [emoji20][emoji20][emoji20]

It's going to be doubly harder now. We are also not good chasers...How is weather forecast today?

England won an imp toss imo hopefully Pakistani bowlers can dent that advantage.

CRICINFO "Doesn't look like we'll be seeing any umbr-ella-ella-ellas in the crowd today, and it could be pretty hard werk, werk, werk, werk for the bowlers if the sun stays out"

Good to see same bowling lineup on this pitch. Reverse swing will come in to play. Need early wickets and expose that weak middle order

Other than Vince, All other English batsmen have scored a 50 or more.

Fantastic Test wicket. The grass colour is straw, not green.

It almost takes toss out of equation. However, it's bad for PAK to bat later, as they are a bowling team & comfortable in batting first. For England, hardly matters, but Cook would love to put 450 here.
Hope it doesn't rain.
