Pakistan isn't in bad situation given the reason they themselves scored 339 in 1st test unless England scores above 400.

hopefully we can keep England between 375-400 but things doesn't look Pakistan way at moment.
hope that pacers ll make them play each n every delivery.
 
England really did rack up a lot of runs but I actually did want us to bat first. We're going to have to bowl them all out, especially Root. Other bowlers such as Wahab in particular really need to take responsibility and try to get some wickets. He doesn't really have much in his arsenal which is quite concerning. Batsman such as Hafeez do not have an excuse to not score high on a pitch like this.
 
Need some quick wickets. If we bat well we should get a draw which wouldn't be the worst result especially if you look at England in recent times at Old Trafford :)
 
Agreed! Wahab's lack of ability to take wickets is very concerning . . Rahat is very lose but at least takes those wickets . . randomly! Wahab needs 2 things to be dangerous . . Reverse swing and bounce . . he isn't getting any here
 
Day 2 will probably give us an idea on who's winning or leading the game. However, I would want our boys to consider the fact that England have to take 20 wickets in order to win the match and given there is bad weather for the next couple of days - realistically speaking I would want them to grind a draw.

1-0 going into the last 2 tests would have ample pressure on England to make things happen and given how we've literally phantified them for the previous 6 odd games I'd take my chances with those odds. They kinda, of late i.e., have been going through this mental block against us where they throw the initiative and lose key moments in the game - A very Pakistani like trait if you ask me.

This game, at this very moment; and considering our history, is like starring down a barrel with only two possible outcomes but with all the above said I wouldn't be surprised if we somehow or the other pull of a f***ing heist here now !!
 
Woakes should play at no.4 or 5th batsmen. Far better than our Azhar Ali, Hafeez and Shan Masood and Hales, Vince and Balance for sure

It is extremely normal that the English will attack us today due to their overnight score - We need to capitalize on this and do some quick damage here. A collapse can just be around the corner guys !!
 
Rahat would be double the bowler one if he had a working brain, two if he stop bowling atleast one hit me ball every over.

Woakes might be a walking wicket on spinning tracks in the UAE where we play 90% of our games. Would in all fairness be a disaster trade since Hafeez after his bowling action test would be a very handy all rounder especially on Asian tracks.

Regarding Shaan Masood, well the day Woakes plays the sort of innings (against any opposition including Bangladesh and Zimbabwe) Masood did against SL in SL then I would be more than happy to trade him with Shanny.

Until then the English can keep Woakes or can trade him to any other country for that matter.
 
Rahat should focus on his line and length.... he should not try any variations at the moment.

Really wonder why rahat ali is in the team. He doesnt have the quality to play at this level especially when he bowls atleast one hit me bowl per over and releases the pressure aswell as giving the batting a good RR

Shan is a certified limited batsman who will always struggle away from Asia while Woakes is a rising star who can bat as well as bowl.
 
Not much happening, is it the wicket too flat, or bowling? And here comes another pressure releaser from rahat, i swear he can't ball a full over without bowling atleast single such rubbish ball, even if his life depend on it, and this one bad bull can easily ruin is other 5 good balls.
 
Rahat should be made 20 rounds of the ground after this innings. Hadd hoti hai.

At least UAE pitches have something in them for spinners. This one is completely dead.
 
If this was pak in this position we would have Collapsed by lunch before 400. Only world class teams like england make you Pay

Rahat reminds me of an Indian trundler with talent.

He just can't land the ball on good areas long enough.

Compare this with Amir who can still keep the ball in tight corridor despite being out of the game for so long.

Sorry Rahat has to go next match.
 
Woakes is a better batsman than Shan and Hafeez. Sharam karo
 
Rahat should be dropped for the next test, needs to sort out his landing, can't get the ball to swing when your bowing that wide of the crease.
 
What a great all rounder this guy Woakes is! Our batsmen should watch his innings to learn how play with sensitively and without slogging or tuktuking
 
Amir definitely looks to be injured . . pace is down and he's hobbling!

Aamir has bowled well, had many balls missing the edges. And England also batting well of course.

Root is class snd Woakes a treat to watch.
 
1st over after the start of play where Rahat hasn't bowled a hit me ball. Shukar hay Allah ka !!
 
So now we can safely say. Pak win is out of question, unless yasir get them under 100 in 2nd inning, now it all about holding on for a draw, and that too would be some achievement in itself. A good really check for all of us, our bowling is good but not as good as we thought it is.
