Need to bring in the slips for the rest of the bowlers other than Wahab.

i like MISBAH, but have to blame him when its due... for a captain he is too defensive....some would learn from the past being defensive, bring some aggression growing as captain, but misbah not taking that aggression..

I had him in my XI in the opening posts of this thread to :)) thought we needed someone fresh as it's a long series and the time off would have helped Wahab, remains unpredictable but conditions suit his bowling style and he has enjoyed bowling at the oval in the past
 
Good fire by wahab , I want him to bowl full throttle all the time. Unfair I know but that's the only way he can be successful

Sohail releasing the pressure, you can never let bairstow settle he will destroy you once he gets his eye in

To an opening bowler he is just fine , gives him gully 4 slips and all. Amir just could not get it to straight from middle stump this series like he did in 2010 under extremely helpful bowling conditions.

Defensive and aggressive are not opposites. Aggressive and passive are opposites while attacking and defending are opposites.

Need to get bairstow out soon as hes the one that will score quickly and could take this inns away from pakistan.

I still don't agree with the lineup. Imran was needed to keep it tight and it's unfortunate that Rahat has a niggle. Sohail will simply tire the longer this goes and I'm not sure about Ifthikars off spin either.

and u saw that how late he bring in the short leg for ballance, especially who aus and nz worked over him by bowling short...when my strike bowler is in rhythm steaming in, got 2 already i would bring in short leg sending a message to the batsman watch ur ribcage,

Agree, Sohail will probably break down in the 2nd innings and his pace drops big time. Khan deserved to play. I've not seen Ifthikar bowl personally but I had friends who went to the warm up game and they said to me his bowling in the nets was no different to that of club cricketers from the birmingham premier league who were also having bowl
 
Excellent session. Pakistan can turn things around with the ball at any time
 
Pakistan's session thanks to some brutal bowling by Wahab. England have batted abysmally here. Cook absolutely threw it away. But some terrific bowling by Wahab. Match already looks killer!
 
Johny bairstow is a class above the other young english batsman bar root .

So much time to play pace.

Yeah that's what. If England plan better they can target these two later and score a lot of runs. It's imperative that Pakistan shoot out this batting lineup and bat huge in their first dig. If England get to 300 it's curtains for Pakistan

im talking about cashing in the situation u got.. england 4 down, wahab steaming in got 2 already, even if it was kohli i would have a short leg in place, but for ballance who is vulnerable to bouncers and still struggling to stamp his feet in the test arena, why not the short leg straight away is my question.
 
Pak need to bowl eng out fr as cheaply as possible. Surely pak cant lose the match if they bowl eng out fr 180/190
 
Wahab can play such a good role in a 5 man attack .
A 4 man attack.with sohail khan as one of the bowlers is too hard on the body.
 
Ifthikar Ahmed scored 116 runs in his last FC game (as an opener) against an attack which included Yasir Ali, Asad Ali and Bilawal Bhatti. He also took 2 wickets in the match (Azhar Ali and Taufeeq Umar) during short 4-5 over spells but was expensive as the economy was around 4.5

He will most likely have a bowl (And apparently it's no better then Azhar's), otherwise it is beyond me why they picked him because Rizwan is the better batsman.

They have to get them for 250 or less or big trouble. Given how fragile our batting getting them for 200 or less would put us in a good position

to be fair, Azhar is actually a decent bowler. If I recall correctly, he's got an impressive googly. He really should try and develop himself in to a Jayasuriya type all rounder.
 
Just learn that the great Hanif Mohammad has passed away, inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.

Pakistan must win this test match and dedicate this match for him and the victims of Queta.
 
Bairstow playing off the front foot, should be given some short balls.
