Full delivery, loud appeal for LBW, its close but not out given. Review not taken, on the replay it looks like a good decision.

If S.A can nip out 3/4 by close of play then england are in trouble

Then that's game over for England. Trott and Strauss really need to stay in till end of day. KP is a wild card, pressure on Bell and Prior to curb their attacking instincts, and fill-in boy Bopara well he just filling in.

Intresting to see if duminy or tahir can do any damage on a day 4/5 track?

trott gone. saffers in total control. time for KP to show his class

On the bright side, I predicted that SA would edge out England in the series. Looking so far so good on my realistic prediction!

Their two best guys who could stick around for a draw have gone.

the sherminator must be wetting himslef at the moment..quality attack = no runs for Bell sahib!

It was a good ball from Steyn, tight to the stumps, and it just shapes away enough to take the edge of Trott's bat. Trott will be annoyed with himself, the ball was wide enough to leave.

Steyn removes Trott.

TGK who's the 'sherminator' ? :)))

Ian bell. he looks somewhat like the dude who played Sherman in American pie. dork of a character. Warney gave him that nickname iirc

Something hilarious about South Africa only losing two wickets their entire inning and England being two down already.

wow Atherton is biased as hell.constantly calling South African batting as torturous remorseless brutal. what a crappy commie.

They left him no choice but to do a 180. He was singing a completely different tune on the first day.

England being embarrassed here. I'm sure the Indians and the Aussies must be enjoying this more than the Africans

Funny how S, M and P are able to get pace and movement out of a flat pitch and good weather.

It was straight ball LOL Morne baffled him with short balls. And to think KP is very good against short ball.

KP clearly didnt fancy showing any fight trying to save this match!

no wonder S.A said they dont need KP or Trott lol!

I'd like to see Smith take a leaf out of Steve Waugh's book and surround the bat with fielders when Tahir is bowling.

Tahir just needs to bowl a straight delivery to Bell who has a great record of leaving balls

He clearly wasn't reading him, should've just seen him through.

England falling like a pack of cards.

Strauss really looking at times like he could get out to Tahir. Need to be more positive and also learn to play spin alot better then he does.

From cricinfo just before the Tahir wicket over:

And that's drinks with England trying to calm things down but South Africa will the knowledge that one more wicket, particularly of Strauss, tonight will all but kill this game...

:)))

Lol! just as i was typing strass gets out as well! cant say that wasnt coming!

Bopara needs some runs or he could get the boot for next test match!

So just before tea, they where going on and on about how pitch is flat and in matter of 20 overs its become a 'wearing' pitch? :))

Meanwhile Bell is 6 from 35 at the moment. Can see him going before the day is over. Anyone in the South African ranks got a doosra handy?

HAHAHAHAHA Athers is saying now it's wearing pitch .........................hahahahahahaha this Poms commentators seriously!

What an awful day for England. One of their worst performances ever under Andy Flower.

Well actually SA have been fantastic since the start of day two, so a lot of credit goes to them.

The series is just getting started, but we need to go away and reflect if we want to hold on to the number one ranking.

Tahir just needs to tell Bell that he had coaching from Ajmal

Should have been a 4 match series , can't understand when pakistan and india play 4 tests why not SA.

Games not over yet. england could still savage it! In saying that i think englands 1st inns is to blame more so then current one of the lose. Pretty much on day 1 england gave it away when KP threw his wicket away and then straight after into went into block mode and allowed S.A to dictate the pace of the game. England will bounce back am sure.

I think it regards to team selection i think its time prior batted six and broad/bresnan 7/8 with finn coming in.

I think thats way for england to go until they find someone who can actually do a job at number 6 as a batsmen.

They had the option for a 4-match test series with South Africa but wanted an ODI series with Australia instead. Fair enough I guess because England nowadays want to make LOIs as much a priority as tests, but it would have been entertaining to have a fourth test here. SA are clearly a top quality side and are enjoying the English conditions, and one cannot write off England who got to number one for a reason.
