Well the big three are out relatively cheaply. So the rest have to step up this time when the team's in trouble. Which Prior usually does.

someone petition ishant and siddle to bowl together please so that there is a level playing field for both teams from the luck perspective.
 
Starc should maybe try bowling around the wicket. Looks out of sorts atm.
 
I thought these pitches wont suit Siddle but he is bowling well. Trick is to pitch it full to give it time to do something in the air.

He seems to be getting late swing somehow. Haven't seen him swing the ball this much before.
 
Agar getting hammered bowling too many short stuff.
 
Leaving out Lyon was a weird one especially for the 1st Test. Might end up hurting them badly that.
 
Now Starc leaking runs. Not even bowling around the wicket is helping him. Another iffy selection.

same here. But I think he has realized his usual hit the deck balls wont be much effective here.
Nevertheless ,starc is undoing all the good work like u mentioned.
 
Fawad Ahmed would have been a better option. Leg spinners are always an attacking option.
 
This is such a small ground. Postage stamp.

Gone for 3rd umpire. Dnt think it was neccessary. He is safe.

Perhaps the Aussies are "better at looking after the ball" than England ;-)

The Aussies will be pleased with this. The outfield is like lightning but no England player has cashed in so far. Probably nerves - the were bowled out for 250 in the first innings of the last Ashes series, with Siddle also starring.
 
Another four. Siddle not getting that late swing in this spell so far.
 
Aus have let Eng off the hook here. Giving away runs.

Needs to restrict England below 250. Anything above that will be disappointing for the Aussies.
 
I dont know why but i always seem to have a soft corner for the underdogs.

HaHa ..... Prior gifts his wicket. Worst possible shot a player can play in Test cricket.
 
5th for siddle. Garbage of a shot from prior. Its siddle's day guys.
 
This is such a good batting pitch an england batting like Pakistanis batsman...
 
Now Eng in a bit of strife. Prolly need around 250-300 at least.
 
Just tuned in, good job by Aus bowlers , looks like a good series on card.
 
Tea it is 185/6 Aus has turned it all around in that session thanks to the vegan destroyer
 
Got to respect the admirable Siddle. He's like another Merv - never gives up. The true ANZAC spirit!

To think some Aussies were talking of dropping him.
 
Has Malakian been around, or trying to stay away whilst his team is not living up to the hype?

England will miss Timothy Bresnan's gritty shepherding of the tail here. And if sun does shine tomorrow, they might his bowling too.
 
Siddle bowling really well but England have played some rubbish shots. Also think the rest of the Aussie bowlers have been average.

Why didn't Cook Opt to Bowl?
 
great from siddle after a long time I have seen a fast bowler running through a quality batting side. But no support from other end.

Pitch is expected to do a fair bit for the spinners as the game goes on.
 
If Eng can somehow scrape to around 250 from here that will be at least something decent to work with. The pitch is expected to flatten out in the next few days so a very good toss to lose from Aus's perspective. Aus well on top.
 
Starc needs another wicket taking ball other than his yorker. He can't swing the red ball as much & batsmen don't need an aggressive backlift like in ODI. So far he's got nothing else.
