England 221 & 441/6 v India 288 - England lead by 374 runs with 4 wickets remaining

So will england declare? or just wait to be bowled out? I think they already have enough runs to win the test. Some dodgy weather is due so england dont want to waste the chance to go 2-0 up in the series!

See the pitch for the first hour, it is understood that TB pitch goes back to being bowler-friendly on day 4 and 5. Set the target accordingly. 400 should serve the purpose, me thinks

England are gonna bat till halfway through the 2nd session, will have a go at India 10 overs before tea.

Bresnan and Prior are scoring at 5 an over already so if they are there are at lunch england will be near enough 500 ahead!

Indian bowlers should at least put some efforts and contain them.

India is winning the game write it down some where and btw Ramadan Mubarak

England to win it by close of play today.

Congrats to Whippy, Robert, cric2008, ruri, what ho! and plus bandwagon jumpers :D

England should bat out the first session properly without taking chances, and push the lead upto 450. After that look to hit out and get to near 500. I do not think India can chase anything more than 350 so 500 is far beyond. England need to give themselves more overs because since shewag is not here no one can take the attack to the opposition.

India will most likely go for draw.400+ would be tough to chase on this track.

Highest run chase here is 284 by England. Records would have to be shattered as opposed to broken for India to win this. England win is the most likely result but could still be something else if it rains or we see a miracle.

Eng bowlers just need 3 sessions to wrap up Indian batting line up.

Score at a quick rate, because ENG will need some time to get the Indian top order out

England should bat for the first session, score as much as they can and declare at lunch.

Do they have to get the pitch rolled in every session?

or is it optional? if it is, who gets to pick?

If Bresnan gets a few wickets, it will be tough decision to select the playing XI for the 3rd Test

That's the best knock Bresnan has played with the bat.

Prior is disappointed with his shot, he could have scored a 100 here...

Praveen kumar got caught stepping on the ball. loll did anyone see that?

Don't bowl short on this pitch
