There was also a tinge of green on the pitch and both Karachi and Mumbai are port cities which means atmosphere would have been heavy, thus aiding both seam and swing movement. Indian crowd is a bunch of immature people who don't spare their own players as well. I recently watched a Ind-SA match in India and there were a bunch of college kids in front of me who made Sehwag's life hell, who was fielding at the boundary. They were hurling all kinds of abuses at him and when I asked them to keep quiet, they said they were "doing it just for fun". They shout slogans against not only against Pakistan but also other countries. Of course, Pakistan gives them a little bit more kick
But again, its not so much hatred than immaturity. The same slogan shouting bunch will probably seek Owais Shah's autograph as well later.
Cricinfo has already found a scapegoat for England's magnificent batting display - "Dravid's decision to bowl". Sure, when the ball was swinging and seaming like crazy in the morning (and our bowlers were spraying all over), you would have loved to see Indian batting collapse against Hoggard et al. Then ofcourse, you would have another excuse - "Dravid's decision to bat". Learn to give credit (and brickbats) where its due. Good batting England. Terrible bowling, India (and Bhajji, he needs to be dropped from tests).

We Indians can never give credit where its due. We are narcissitic bunch of over-arrogant people who believe that Bhajji is the best bowler in the world and if we lose some match, then some extraneous factors like "toss" is the culprit.

I think Indians suffer more from this disease. With the kind of money India has for cricket, one would think we will have the best team in the world. But vested interests are using that money to create unnecessary hype about some very average Indian players rather than improve upon their weakness.
