England Vs India 3rd Test!

" Indian players are trooping out on to the field and now have gone
in a huddle.
Huddle and short chat from Dravid over and they go their respective
fielding positions"

AHAHAHAHAHA Saalay drammaybaaz

".3 Pathan to Strauss, no run, short and outside off, left alone. Irfan
was falling over in the delivery stride there."

Looks like fake pathans drunk :))) :))) :))) :)))

Munaf Patel to share the new ball with Pathan, starts of with a good over.

1.6 Patel to Strauss, no run, turns it to short mid wicket
1.5 Patel to Bell, 1 run, just pushes it to cover for a quick single
1.4 Patel to Bell, no run, on the off, Bell drives it to cover point
1.3 Patel to Bell, no run, widish outside off, getting the away movement, left alone
1.2 Patel to Bell, no run, well outside off, left alone
1.1 Patel to Bell, no run, very good delivery first up, on the off and moving away, beats the outside edge
Three slips and a gully in place
Munaf Patel will share the new ball

Patel to Strauss, out Caught by Dhoni!! Strauss drives on the up, the angle does him in there, gets the outside edge and Dhoni dives forward to take a very good catch, Taufel takes his time and then raises the finger! A Strauss c M Dhoni b M Patel 4(18) 4s-0 6s-0

Strauss gone!

ok munaf patel at it again, goes to owais shah yeh kya shot khaila hai, owais shah after completing the single...*haan tuka mai laga hai yeh shot* :)):)))

and it was a clssy leg flick....

18 for 1

Bell gone

Bleh

Im sure someone will get in on this pitch.

Shocker of a decision by uncle Hair. Udal was out but he didn't give. Haven't Pak and India appealed to ICC to not have this joker around for umpiring in matches involving them? How come this incompetent and may be racist (who thinks Indians and Pakistanis appeal excessively) is allowed to stand here?

Sreesanth - what a spell. And what a stinker Yuvraj has has in the field this test match!

And yet again, we have no idea what is to come after another day of this match. This has been the most exciting topsy turvy match of the series so far. Great stuff.

Heading Englands way

England will be fancying their chances of levelling the series, but India might take some quick wickets tomorrow morning (its their only hope now IMO) and then the game is back on.

But the fact is that they keep Hariharan around - does that still make them racists ?

its all set up to to be a thrilling conclusion to a fine series.

hope to see a Pieterson and/or (prefer and) Freddy special tomorrow. preferrably early so that I can watch and then go to sleep :)

So if Hariharan is around, Hair is not racist? Or you are saying that Hariharan is also a racist, so we are even-stevens? In fact, I know zilch about Hariharan, so you may want to throw some light on him.

I am referring ONLY to incompetency of both umpires - read some of the comments above about Hariharan - thats all

Racism is a very strong allegation - not to be thrown around and should be backed with pretty good evidence ! Its more likely that we are dealing with incompetent umpires.

MIG

Hair's incompetence (if we want to call it that way) invariably favors England all the time.

Well played to both teams so far I think. Shah showing his worth and the two new Indian fast bowlers impressing lots as well.

Potentially a new era for India coming up...something never experienced by them before. If Patel and Sreesanth continue to bowl fast, then potentially India could be on a winner for the future....bloody depressing thought!

All 3 days belong to England, Udal was out.........Indias only hope now is to get quick early wickets........I cant see England loosing here.

i still think india can back in this game by taking early wickets tomm. If inida get to chase anything lower then 300 then i will fancy india win

Owais Shah is looking a seriously good prospect.

The guy is so damn confident while handling the bowling, it looks like he's playing his 50th Test Match, not his debut.

In my opinion, a much better option than Bell, he has all the shots and a good solid technique.

Good slipper, also.

England are favorites right now, leading by 150, and only having lost two wickets, with Pietersen, Flintoff, Collingwood, and Jones to come.

Today was a great day, hopefully tomorrow will be the same.

I've seen the Strauss dismissal and that is very encouraging. That ball took off from the pitch. There will be some rough in that area for Monty. Hopefully we can get a lead of 350.

If we bat well, we can get 200-250 runs tomorrow (KP and Flintoff quick scoring) then have a day and a bit to bowl India out. I know Nagpur was a cakewalk for India til they went for the win, but this pitch might be a deathtrap on day 5, moreso than Nagpur!

I hope the fat man trusts Anderson more now. If Anderson and Hoggard open the bowling their new ball swing could do some major damage in the last innings.

I think this test can go either way, but Englands got the upper hand, I think a 300 is chaseable for India, but Indias got a reputation of not saving a test match in the last innings, India needs quick wickets tommorow, they cant let any batsmen settle.

Maybe the "fat man" might tear the bowling apart in the second innings.

I hope it isnt as hot on the last day. Our seamers need to bowl plenty, they give us the best chance of winning.

England have a massive chance of winning here, i have a feeling they will throw it away though.

U never know with Eng

This is turning into a fine match.

I am really impressed with Sreesanth. Makes Irfan Pathan look ordinary. Munaf Patel is a solidly built bowler - not often seen in India (not quick but impressive).

very good game of cricket going on here ... big question will be ..... can Monty and Udal get any purchase on day 5.

I think it is asking a lot of the seamers to get 10 wicket in the last 4 session unless this track explodes tomorrow ..... it certainly doesnt seem like it.

One has to also think that the Indian middle order will put their hands up and be counted for .... if that happens it will make things that much easier.

I reckon they need to give themselves 110-115 overs ... have to go hammer and tongs tomorrow and try to get to 350+ lead

England have runs on the board and have the slight advantage. lead at moment is 150. Anything over 250 and i recon england have sumat they can defend on this surface.

tmoz 1st session is crucial if england can get another 100-20 runs then great. Hopefully they will be bowled out around about midway thru last session. I hope england get there runs quic enough and give themselves time to try and get 10 indian wickets.

Yeah I think they should get out cause other teams are very tentative to give something under 350 !! for the strongest on paper batting lineup in the world!!!

no in this case it is because English spinners havent made any impressions and they have to on Day 5 to stand a chance of victory.

Yeah our seamers who took 8 out of 10 Indian wickets dont exist anymore...

Granted it will be hot and tiring for pacemen but it is so important to get 10 more Indian wickets, they will be going on adrenaline.

Spinners will bowl some, but seamers can win the game on their own if the minefield pitch of the last hour of today is anything to go by.

Is the wicket really mis behaving or these are all assumptions!!! I am not having a live telecast but what I think it is still a very good cricketing and a batting track so how would it do wonders on the last day even if it does I dont think Shaun Noodle would do anything I really doubt if he can take a wicket against a club level side here in Asia!!!! Is that the best England have !!! The could blood in a batsman instead of Udal!! I think KP bowls better then him and Vaughan anyone remember when he bowled a huge offspin that went through Sachins gate and he was bowled . Any way Vaughan has left bowling after he has been given the captaincy role! Any info on that

you are right mate seamers took wickets ... but despite hardly any resistance from middle order we still batted out 105 overs .... seamers have put in a lot of work ... do they have another big effort in them .... moreover will the Indian batting capitulate again?

Did anyone see sresanth bat.... he had solid batting technique.. looked better than most of our top tier batsman

So what could happen today?

will england bat thro the day and declare ( perhaps with around 10 overs left for india),leaving india in a rather impossible situation?

or will england be done with in the second session, looking at a total of around 300 to defend?

whatever happens, it should be an absorbing days play.

who could be the men to watch out today?

Flintoff? KP? quite likely. that will make the day quite entertaining.

Shah? he is quite a find, might just be the thorn in India's flesh today.

Munaf, sreesanth? if they extend the form they showed yesterday evening, they could be a handful.

Harbhajan? yeah, dream on...

dont care what happens to england vs india etc...

only thing im intrested is pak vs india ..pak = owais shah... hes a special talent...cocky, arrogant...and gives it back to the indians.....!!!!!game on!

the highlight of sreesanths innings yesterday was his short duel with flintoff :) - a barrage of short pitched stuff, which he left rather well, and one finally hitting him bang on the helmet. was quite funny and painful to watch. To his credit, the kid, shook it off and stepped out & heaved flintoff for four through midoff next ball. I like the kid's attitude. He doesnt have huge talent, but makes up for it with attitude. that was quite visible while bowling, and now he shows it while holding the bat too.

i like the bloke, but i would not view him any differently than the others as far as his ethnicity is concerened. why should his ethnicity matter on the ground? so monty panesar is India vs India? and Shivnarine Chanderpaul? Kallicharan?

Owais shah is a good prospect, i hope he does well today.

my friend, seems like you havent been watching the game live on tele......................and thats why you have been missing all the cheap shots the indian crowds have been taking at pakistan (owais shah)

i dont subscribe to it Cavin. i have posted MY views here. not the crowd's. Why should I defend the Wankhede crowd's behaviour?

yes i have seen the match :)

41 for 2

what a sexy pull by owais shah........one bounce four..........wicked.....munaf patel at it again..sledging starts....:)):)))
and the umpire intervenes....................munaf sweard said bc, mc........owais smiles and simon(probably has learned enough urdu now to know what munaf was refering too steps in :)):)))
what sissys these indian players are.........shame...wheres that joka srinath (who said when owais shah was giving it back *against the spirit of the game*

47 for 2

by the way i dont know what im doing here while i should be enjoying this shah battle with the indians..im off :P you na shukras :P
47 for 2
and munaf taken out of the attack :)))just after that over where owais turned it on

bacha pathan comes in

showie kumble,
and dorppedddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd by dhoni yet again was udal!

Udal's third "Chinese Cut" flies to safety off the inside edge and he takes another single, perhaps he has mastered the stroke and is in control.....

Udal is out ! After two more streaky inside edges, Udal's eventful innings finally ends when he gets a routine outside edge this time and specialist sub fielder Laxman swoops low to pouch it at second slip....

61/3

Eng 85/4 @ lunch (lead 206)

just 54 runs in session for loss off 2 wickets.

poor session for england they are scoring at snails pace and they need to remember they need time to bowl india out.

I'm not watching but looking at the scorecard it seems like pathetic play from England. They should have been much more attacking this morning if they intended to win the match.

Eng 91/5

inns run rate is less than 2. pathetic stuff!

colly and flintoff in at moment.

Shouldnt eng be attacking now...0-1 down in the series ,they have nuthin to loose..poor crciket frm them!

117/5 after 58 overs ??? you guys sure england are playing for a win here ??? they
should be attacking time ago now and should have made atleast 300 of a lead by now..
if india go on to draw or even win this match england are only to blame them self for
playing soo damn slow...

Anyone feel that Englands slow progress may ( just may) me due to some good bowling ? Its a good match and only by end of today will we know if India will win this series - if the total lead goes above 350+, India will be hard pressed to save this match

i think england's mindset has become defensive because they fear they might collapse and lose the game from here...
allthough this isn't the flintoff i saw in ashes...he should counterattack and a quick 60 here will bury india off.

feel sorry for flintoff- captaincy curbing him? too much on his plate already.
make shaun udal the captain i sya, atleast he's not doing anything else.. :13:

I feel sick. This is turning into Edgbaston more and more.

Can't speak for the conditions since I am not watching, but it seems a little too slow. They have a pacer back on and Eng need to manufacture some runs quickly.

skippy wash, fret not.
england will add 100 more in the next 20 overs and leave india 350 for the last day...losing 2-0 again may be too much to bear. betting on a draw now.

England going slow but strech lead.........we might be in for a classic here on the final day.

and if you can, tell that clown on your profile to swallow his stupid ego, use his head a bit more, it's swollen too much for his own good.

i don't know why they hype him so much, he never seems to deliver when it really matters. even in that oval game, his immaturity almost cost them the game but for those 2 lives.

Every good batsman needs to be lucky. Chanceless tons are very rare.

India despretly needs freddie back into the pavilion, and bowl England out before the 330 lead.

very very poor cricket by England today, should have scored some runs today, should have scored atleast around 250 by now.

I agree, this slowness aint helping them, India might be relieved.

Aaaaaaaay, just heard Flintoff on the stump mic say "No Afridi's round here"

LOL aint seen this kind of cricket before.. need to score quick on day 4 in order to
win and what do the batting team do ??? block out the whole day for wat i dont kno ??
every block england now play is for india to not loose the match... the england team must
really be stupid for playing this.. anyone in the world can tell you that have to attack not play like this...
