Game is drifting now, no wicket for 7 minutes. Yawn.

30 ovs left.....

can we conclude that by end of day today eng will be leading the series by 1-0

Playing on seaming wickets is a much harder task.

On flat tracks,Geoff Boycott said that all you have to do is plant your front foot down the track.OK,if it is a dusty turner in the sub-continent of course it is much more difficult but I'm referring to the pitches where batsmen can plunder runs at will.We have seen the various India vs Sri Lanka matches where both sides score 500-600 with ease.

One side...India won 2 out of the 3 matches with an Inning to spare.

Swann 4/4 what amazing figures! simply awesome stuff from him!

perera looks like hes going down all guns blazing!

If Sri Lanka manage to survive England will be kicking themselves for letting Bell get his hundred first up. Could have wasted 4 precious overs up.

Hahahahaha, like the good old days! Escorted to the boundary!

Sri lanka 32 behind, can they make england bat again?

Are you referring to this series ? The scores are still colossal.

426,412-4 dec,760-7 dec,642,726-9 dec.

Which series would you want to sit through ? Its a fairly easy choice it has to be said !

Even though Swann hasn't been turning it much his deliveries still look deadly for some reason.

swanns best figures are 6/65 so he could better that if he gets last 2 wickets here!

good one on cricinfo

Jon: "I'm a loyal Australian: I want England to feel what it's like having a team 9 down and not being able to finish them off. The fact that it's at Cardiff just adds to the interest..."

Bounce and turn, hits Mendis in the box.

:four

Full and stroked thru cover.

At last some sort of resistance from SL batters (Perera n Mendis)

72 for 8

29 overs remaining to be bowled for the day

Yeh for a reason!! They wanted to bowl at mendis

well thats not in the spirit of the game!!!!

the english always talk about the spirit....of the game

When Sehwag does it.... Nasser hussain started crying but now all of a sudden its tactis....

Sehwag did it then everyone started crying but now nobody says anything

listen to the commentators sooo happy and biased

This is why i love test matches in England.

Results all the time and un-predictable.

I want Pakistan to play here vs Sri Lanka.

We would beat them :)

Pakistanis should be the last people to talk about the spirit of the game. :amir :butt :asif

No boss, this is about englands performance in india and sri lanka and not about ind vs sri lanka.dusty turners never happen in the subcontinent from day 1 but only on day 4 and day 5,and last time india won a test match against england chasing 384 on last day.

But even if u consider these, england must atleast do an extent well, instead of getting smashed away 5-0 in one days and all as they play all the time in so called "tough pitches"

Broad on, SL should look to score what they can off him.

Oh in the air, nearly out !

Collision between the fielders there.Ian Bell takes a blow.

This one, the last played in India
India won by innings and 144 runs and innings and 24 runs :)
Amazing series for us...boring for neutrals due to the thumping :)

But I prefer both as long as we have results.... :)

jeez - i just started da tv ... trail by 14 ,24 overs to go & 8 wickets down !!!

Awesome catch by bell ends Perera's resistance

England is 1 wicket away from a famous victory

Come on..You already got Sanga and Mahela...How hard is it to get Perrera and MENDIS..

I dont see Sri lanka staying to long on the 3rd position ... poor bowling and batters are thinking about the dancers in IPL

Still think they should have been bowled out for below 70..

itll be interestin if these two can stretch it out and leave england with 30 or 40 to win off 3 or 4 overs.
