I'm sure it's happened a few times because I have seen it once. Ind vs SL. Sanga was captain. Unreachable total and early wickets. Sachin batted most of the day with Gambhir I think and later VVS to ensure a draw. He was on 89 or 90 when Sanga suddenly decides to offer a draw. Knowing how Sanga liked to be a nuisance in India games, I'm sure he knew what he was asking. The Indians flatly refused and Sanga then got the bowlers to start bowling wide. Like wide, wide and packed the offside. What it ended up doing was bringing out some masterful flicks to the legside. One of them I still remember as being ridiculous - it was wide enough for a toe-ended cut shot but full and Sachin flicked it through midwicket for a boundary. Insane wristwork on it.

Good old times of mahela and sanga acting like out and out crybabies.asking bowlers to bowl wides to deny opposition batsmen century, having random dummy captain at the toss to avoid suspension, blaming pitches where opposition scored with no issues etc

We played a draw against England last time when we came here, then we won the series in 2024, we have the trophy and if we manage to win at Oval we will retain it.

Pakistan isnt an Unbiased nation. I've never met anyone on this planet that is unbiased except very few gifts from god such as myself, sweepshot and a few others.

England should be very dissappointed and India will now get a moral win and can claim that the flatness of the pitch was the reason why Bhumrah Siraj were ineffective.

Next test India will be forced to rest Bhumrah and they will play with more fire, Siraj does well without Bhumrah.

England will be forced to rest Archer and Carse. Carse has had a very heavy bowling workload and his speeds, zip are now done as a result.

England will dare not give India a green wicket, they will go with another flat pitch.
 
Jadeja has surprisingly been very solid with the bat this series and he is now at the end of his career. He bottled it with the bat so many times during the prime of his career

Absolutely, in English conditions Taijul, Miraz wouod be better than Dawson and Root. Joe Root for Pete's sake. Hasan Mahmud is better than Brydon Carse. Nahid Rana is comparable to Archer...at least pace wise and is not imported.

Only outlier obviously is Stokes, who is an all-rounder unmatched.

Thats the problem with playing 5 Tests with same set of players. Why do you think Siraj will not be tired? he is not a robot.. Fatigue will be problem for both sides
 
The importance of all rounders shown here once again.

India needs 2 or 3 all rounders for all conditions if they want to be considered a great side. The lack of all rounders have been hurting India for decades.

Washington is a gem. He should be playing in every test match irrespective of conditions. With Jadeja getting old, he should take Jaddu’s spot.

Someone like Harry Brook who’s supposed to be a future legend acting like this just shows the kind of atmosphere he’s growing up in as a player. A lot of tough cricket remains ahead of you , young man. Play like a gentleman.

Stokes rightly wanted to go off. Nothing wrong in offering Draw before final hour. its not un usual when only draw is possible. India denied request. Game has continued. What has harry done wrong?

Root never performed in Aus and India as I always said when pitches were tougher

Only on flat tracks he did well

He played vs injured players in bumrah and akashdeep missed this game. And has a dud like khmabhoj to exploit
