What's new

ICC CT 2017, Group A | England [240/4] beat Australia [277/9] by 40 runs [DLS method]

Bangladesh always choke. This time it's second hand choke. :yk2

:)) I still feel that Root is the key wicket. Roy/Hales are there to give a quick fast, whereas Root is the brick if things go wrong. I don't entirely trust Buttler to bat through this and despite Morgan being in form, he usually isn't in at 6-2. Good test for him too.

Agree, Root have to sail them through and as I type he smothered a classy four.

Repeat of yesterday match!!!! So Bangladesh bat first yesterday NZ would have won that match

Relatively speaking Rashid is marginally better, Moeen has been learning to bowl spin on the go at the international level so despite that has not done so bad and is highly valuable to the England team with one of the best economies for a spinner on the planet in LOI's. Rashid is a spin veteran, it took him over a decade to finally come into his own :mv but it is only after all that time he has bowled a spell worth praising in a game that actually matters... oh WAIT Big Mac

Rashid won't even get to Afghanistan Side, Rashid Khan is so much better. Adil Rashid is the worst ODI bowler who purely gets wicket because batsmen don't like his face and wants to hit em, look at his cheap wickets today, Henriques (he should be a singer), Wade (You ain't Gilly brah, you're a Mongia), Starc and Cummins (Nothing to be proud of)
Since the 2015 WC, who is the leading wicket-taker in ODIs ?

Barrage of boundaries by England.

Now compare that with Pakistani approach of tuk tuk.

Thank you Misbah and Azhar

Yeah Rashid the spin veteran is a tailender and dead rubber specialist who should pump his chest about bowling better then a guy who is a part timer learning to bowl spin on the job yet has a better economy then him :broad

The kind of depth POms have , they can get this target , they need just some partnerships along the way. One big partnership of 100 plus can do.

Wickets > economy rate.

Hazlewood bowling an excellent length, finding the outside edge again.

Love watching quality seam bowling.

Wickets > economy rate.

The number of matches he has played and the pressure that Moeen Ali and Wood creates gets him wickets, he doesn't deserve to be in the team, even Bangladesh has Al Amin who picks up wickets because no one likes his face. Rashid should retire

England wish Australia had two Amirs. Hales and Roy would have been batting now, and they would have been on their way.

And as if it wasn't tense enough, here's our man on the ground, George Dobell, who says "rain imminent"

Can Aussies get 20 overs in before the rain comes?

Aus are so unlucky

they were robbed off from the victory against ban Now today again rain are ruining there any chances they have,,,

It is just light rain and the radar shows it is going to be clear soon, BD fans would be better served to not start celebrating already.

Thank God I live in Canada. We get more than our fair share of winter, but when it is summer, it is SUMMER.

Passing shower. Ozs need to finish their overs ASAP if the game resumes from getting robbed by rain again. 14 overs in 1 hr then they can relax.

Covers being removed. Time for BD to start bricking again.

Why people are bringing Bangladesh again and again in every comment? If Australia wins and go through, they will go through as a deserving side.Bangladesh had done as best as they can by beating New Zealand by playing brilliant brand of cricket.

The country that has produced Beatles, Oasis and Cold Play amongst others keeps playing second rate American musicians like Alicia Keys at sporting events

Look at the sunshine in the ground, is it the same venue where it was raining and gloomy some time ago?

English weather.

That's a tall claim. You can never predict with so little between the sides. Whosoever has a good day on match day will lift the trophy.

Good/bad day is part of the game - what is unique is the Aussie mentality on such bad days.
