ICC World Cup 2023: Australia (241/4) defeat India (240 all out) by 6 wickets to win the final of ICC World Cup 2023

Best team in the world atm by some distance. I'd like to apologise to every Indian poster who I have annoyed a bit over last couple of days.
I am a fan now

Review not taken but Smith's fault completely.

Umpire didnt even think and raised his finger... and Smith who always reviews didnt even bother reviewing it.

Said it all tournament long and when India scored 240: It was never gonna be possible to beat India in this tournament.

The team is good, sure. Its the support, the environment is too big a challenge to overcome.

Thanks....thats genuine...well done m8
Not sue if you are being sarcastic or not but ok.
I am being genuine.
Great bowling.
Outstanding.

Still feel india missed a trick by not selecting jaiswal, ishan. They would have done well. Better than sky who is timid.

Can't fault iyer. He did well in semis. Unlucky there but his weakness vs high bounce was known.

My first instinct was Smith will review as it did look like pitching just outside...

But impact will be Umpire's call if the ump gave it out right? How is that not out?

Smith just wanted to get out from the heat lol

It looked outside to me at first glance too. I was surprised he didn’t go for review

Do indian fans fear siraj bowling garbage? Cause he seems to let this attack down big time

Another maiden Australia going no where. They just need one big partnership

Shami bowling well, but its a bad move by rohit to bowl him instead of siraj. Shami was brilliant with first change and Siraj has more control with the new ball. Its swinging and siraj would have taken more wickets here than both.

Hey guys what was the wink from Marsh about? He got out on purpose that ball? Would not surprise me one bit if this match was fixed to favour either side but that seemed strange?
The Aussie players have become too familiar with India, players who help India win may get even better IPL Contracts

All three wickets have been lucky, India needed that if they wanted to compete.

Australia needs to re-asses and can still easily chase it down.
granted the deliveries they got the wickets were'nt flash....but they also bowled some absolute pearlers that were deserving of wickets....possibly you missed those?

Given how OCD Smith is about his batting, surprised he didn't review that. Pressure does funny things.
He didn't realize where his off stump was. Head should have urged him. I'm sure Head said it looked out

Tbf that seems illogical. Got to perform well to get a ipl contracts. They don't throw money on crap performances. But u found that strange. Why the wink?

Smith was sooo under pressure. He always reviews. That was not out to the naked eye also. Aussies all out there with their eyes closed lol

4 wickets is what I thought India needs by 15 overs to win this game. Need one more

It's not a huge total. Aus needs one partnership here.

Head and ever lucky lubuschnage winning it .
Four free run from Rahul everything goes Australian way

Ind needed aus 3 down minimum by 60runs. They done that.

Aus need to play slow and carefully now. Just like India did in the middle overs but I doubt aus will go ultra slow without any risky attempts.

Match is on.

Maybe IPL had not started in 2015, 2016 (with a west indies team full of IPL players), 2019, 2022 (Again ENG defeating by 10 wickets with team full of IPL players). When India is in a winning position suddenly its IPL.

Rahul bottling it behind the stumps. He probably gave away 15 runs so far

At innings break mood was Aus are ahead but seeing how ball is moving no way Aus are winning this they might fold under 200, opportunity missed by Cummins.

This match is fishy, I told you. Smith didn't review. I said at very early, India is winning. Damn confirmed.

Rahul has been absolutely pathetic in whatever he is doing today

India are favourites here. The spinners should run through the middle order. Seamers have done their job by getting three vital breakthroughs

The sad thing is Australia just needed to see through initial 10-15 overs and lose as few wickets as possible.

Instead they went hard and rash when the ball was doing a lot.

Everything in life is fishy. Why bother with cricket then?

At 240 - I felt the game was India's to lose.

The Australian innings is playing out exactly as I expected.

Before fanboys cite "jinx", I've held this view all tournament long.

Time for some old-school Test style batting for a bit for AUS.

If dew is coming then no point throwing your hands at everything. Just absorb the pressure and get a partnership going.

Crucial over for aussies. Head was clueless earlier

So close to a wicket lol. Shami is good. Shameless Rahul. Poor keeping.
