Still want Aussies to score 300 plus so we can see which batsmen makes a good fist of chasing the target now that RizBar are not taking part....
 
Have a feeling that we are going to gift our wickets to Maxwell during the chase...
 
Haris rsuf has a lot of potential but he isn't using the full width of the crease???
He could be even faster in my opinion. If he used the full width of the crease rather than how he operates as of now where there is quite a bit of gap from the crease line, he could be a much more dangerous bowler. He will shorten the distance and batsmen will require much faster reaction time to play him. His balls won't lose ss much pace after pitching either.
 
In an other match Kusal Mendis taking apart AFG bowlers. In terrific form of late Mendis.

Unlike many posters on te thread I don't bash rizzu, Imam or babar.

I just think babar needs to focus on batting and be a kohli for Pakistan rather then be a captain, Imam shpuld be test only, and rizzu is better suited to opening at no 4.

Neither of these 3 are BAD batsmen though that people make them out to be, their good players, just they all have ego's and are occupying the wrong things.

In rizzu's case wrong slot, In babar's case captaincy, in imam's case wrong format.

Also I didn't comment on Rauf earlier cause I knew people were panicking for no reason.

Problem is Rauf is a terrific middle overs bowlers due to his intelligence and variation which is why he takes wickets.

But if you're opening the bowling with him, then pakistan might as well throw away the match, he's not a new ball bowler aka run and swing type.

Just stick to bowling him in the middle and you're good. Rauf is quality just like naseem, uts just he's quality in a different way.
 
Amir's supporters here would've liked Hasan ali getting injured when he stopped boundary with his foot. Lol
 
I wanna give credit for one thing. Despite all problems with shadab as a player, he's a million times better as a captain then babar.

Rotating bowlers, utilising Australia's weakness against them, bringing in Rauf a key wicket taker, Constantly having a slip in for the spinners.

Learn Mr no 1 batsmen Learn. This is how you Captain.

At the same time for shadab, look at usama mir and Learn how to bowl for god sakes.
 
Wasim Jnr back but don't see why as we should be trying out Hasan Ali in the middle overs as he is more likely to feature in the playing 11

You gotta give credit where its due. Shadab is captaining well even if he himself is a nothing player.

He's rotating bowlers well, the field is extremely attacking and he knows how to take wickets with his bowlers even if he himself can't take wickets lol.

He isn't sticking by a tired and failed formula like babar.
 
I've rarely had a good word to say about Shadab recently but gotta admit he's had an excellent day as a captain, bowler and fielder.

I mean, even in the afg series it's clear he was a superior captain.

Firstly unlike babar, even when aus was tonking he didn't go into panic mode.

Secondly he actually rotates the bowlers lol, he brought in spin when fast were getting tonked and for Smith who's a natural against spin, he brought in Rauf.

He's also kept the slip for spinners and in general his field setting is 100x more attacking then babar's.

Babar is an idiot, if someone like Smith struggles against fast, babar would bring spin on because its time to meet the quota lol.

Shadab is doing great. Issue is his own bowling and batting is the problem. Captaincy wise, I'm hoping babar steps down and gives shadab the captaincy In this cup, cause atleast he leads well, even if he himself is a nothing player.
 
Brought back Wasim at the right time but also gave extended spells to all bowlers in the middle period like himsel, Mir and Nawaz.

Great captaincy.

He isn't the best captain. He's captaining no differently from how every other player captains.

It's common sense to rotate bowlers, play spinners against players who struggle against spin, fast against who struggle against fast and keep rotating non stop to not allow batsmen to settle as well as set an attacking field + not go into panic mode if the side starts tonkimg.

^^ None of these qualities are extraordinary. We think their extra ordinary because we are use to babar doing none of these things and being an idiot in general. That's why we are calling shadab a world class captain, because babar set the standard so low.

Shadab is captioning well but this is how players captain. Sarfi was no different, even misbah the Destroyer atleast fielding wise did the same.

Babar is just the worst fielding based captain in the God damn planet that's all.

Wondering if Pakistan's best bowling line up actually is 2 fast bowlers and 3 spinners (Shaheen, Haris, Shadab, Usama and Nawaz) . . with support from Agha and Iftekhar . . Fast bowlers are going to get tonked here

Dont think Pakistan is winning the game, though they may slightly be on top.

I have a nasty feeling this pitch isnt as flat as people believe it is.

Would like to see Aus bowl on it.

Very low to the ground but should have got his fingers under it. One of the easier caught and bowled chances.

That's not the point though. I only critise on the politics and the nepotism of the game.

I don't critise in game, but we have posters who get mad if shadab doesn't score 100 of 15 lol.

As I said, I won't make any comments until the game ends, but I will say this. Usama front line spinner please and sheddy as captain atleast for this cup, get babar away from captaincy. Sheddy is captaining like a normal individual,

Babar's captaincy in a nutshell

Play shaheen and hasan/Rauf as opening bowlers then bring rauf/Hasan on over 7th and have shaheen fill his 5 overs quota. Then bring in endless spin from nawaz and shadab all the way till the 40th, and then wrap with shaheen and haris/hasan. And fielding wise no slip and stand as far back as possible cause batsmen only hit sixes, clearly no one takes singles and doubles lol.

And people wonder why things like sides recovering from collapsed positions, or sides tonking us happen, lol.

Shadab is captaining like a sane individual via rotation and singles blocking and not panicking when vetting tonked and were doing wonders, even wasim is bowling well in the middle. This is what pressure does when you stop singles and free scoring of runs. Babar just relies on a failed formula and prays to god to do something.

Never hated, I don't take back what I said about imam, and I never will, imam needs to learn how to open like international sides.

My stance on Babar being a garbo captain, Imam not being suited to odi opening and rizzu being a bad no 4 will never change sorry, if you think that's changed then you're mistaken.

I don't see how any of my stances have changed? I said shadab is a better captain them babar, still don't value sheddy as a player and I've always said usama > Shadab as a spinner.

Same way I've always said Rauf is a class bowler, I even defended hasan as a decent opening bowler.

I don't know what you're on about or what drugs you're smoking, none of my stances have ever changed lol. But go attacking ig.

They won't happen, I am aware. Just stating facts, Sheddy is a superior captain, irrespective of what changes happen in the spur of the moment. These non changes and delays is what causes pur downfall. I don't see ECB struggling with making spur changes lol, they do it all the time.

Remember pur discussion earlier about unity.

Change in leadership with sheddy and look how we're playing against an even stronger team unlike NZ.

This is what I was talking about, something that is absent under babar. Hope you get my viewpoint. Rn we are playing like a killer side, cause under sheddy everyone is united and attacking and trying to Nuke Aus.

With babar everyone just presses panic mode.
 
If Pakistan can get these two out in quick time, they have a good chance of winning this game.

it always happens till the captain is old. It happened with Misbah, Sarfaraz and now Babar. I remember a game when Malik was standing captain instead of Sarfaraz and Pak won the match. Whole nation was like Malik should be our new captain despite him being on the brink of retirement.
