yep, thinking out of the box in the indian coaching setup is not exactly his forte, was better off in the U-19's and fantastic role models for the youngies...
i seriously feel what we are missing is a quality top order lh batsmen...i have hopes on yashasvi jaiswal or even washi sunder - dude has the defensive game -has all the shots, and can open, can also bowl-is a decent field...feel this will give a different dimension to our lineup

watching the same match? each ball is turning massive and keeping low...
defo not a walk in the park. Its not that we can close eyes and swing for the tall timber, they have to grind it out...hence why i find che pu's dismissal the most intriguing and v crucial...it will be tough going
 
Who were the brainiacs who hyped up players like Gill and Shaw?

Aakash Chopra had more staying power at the crease than these hacks.

England simply pummelling Pakistan bowlers while we are huffing and puffing towards a lesser target. Not sure we'll even get there.
 
Kohli really went from being one of the best players in the world to being just another player who really should be dropped across formats.

Kohli is done, the sooner selectors make the call for him the better.

How is Kohli still holding on to a spot these days? Should be out in all formats. Has scored 2 centuries in 4 years - both in dead rubbers, one against Afghanistan, another against Bangladesh.
 
We are going to lose this test match .only pant can save us from this humiliation
 
I don't see Kohli surviving till stumps.

India will be at least 4 down.

Because he still has so many bhakts in BCCI. He is just a greedy old hack who is holding on to his spot for at least 2 years too many just to please his sponsors.

Just feel Gill does not have the fwd defensive game against quality spin bowling and against quality swing bowlign in eng/nz swing conditions. but so did'nt guys like zaheer abbas, greg chappell, mo azhar , damien martyn etc . he holds his bat grip high...like greg chapell - perfect for aus or saf conditions for the bounce ...still young...hopefully he improves and emulates the others as named above...
meanwhile...BD bowling bombs...hope our guys see the day through

So? He was largely mediocre for the rest of the WC. Kohli's who nudge the ball and accumulate then accelerate at the backend aren't going to win you games against the best teams. Game has changed.

He has blinded his bhakts with his once in blue moon innings. They are oblivious of the fact how badly he is hurting Indian cricket.

We've had Kane play like this for years - sometimes it's been useful, other times harmful. With how the game has changed, there's no place for players like these. That and Kane has gotten a lot worse and fails to accelerate most times. Kohli played just like Kane and went run a ball, when he failed he left India in a massive hole with the middle and lower order having to smash it to make it up.

India are digging themselves into a hole. They need to try something different - Axar or Ashwin as pinch hitters. 20s from both and pressure is off.

poor player...wow...gee whiz...(yep i agree his catching is not upto the mark and he averages one drop a match) , by anydefo he si not poor -if he is poor -comment on his ability alone and leave the bhakt part...this site is about discsuing the cricketing abilities not your affiliations, keep them at home or for another site

Our bowlers are not being put under the pressure and can do a lot of things. This isnt the kind of pitch where you can survive 120 overs. This is where the bazzball approach would work

On the other hand Bangladesh and their poor batting continues
 
Pant and Iyer Both are good at playing spinners so still our jope alive but this is Just shameless cricket by us

Yup, England would have gone hard. Game would have been over or close to it, England down 3-5 wickets but game dusted.
 
India would get slaughtered by Aus based on form of both teams.

Hope SA qualify, would be a better match.
