Bhuvi going at 4 an over when the asking rate is nearly 8, I dunno why we chose Umesh over him last game

Yes Bhuvi should be a certain in LOIs. He is few of the best available bowling resource (Pace dept.) in India. Last IPL was a perfect example.

Probably too much to chase but England are going to make India nervous.
 
Why do i feel so unsafe . Modern cricket has completely changed our perspective about one day cricket. Post T20 they break the innings into two parts and go after any target.

Same bowling got us 27/3 today including Kohli

Both were top knocks
 
Next 20 overs will be crucial and England should look for 140-150 from them.
 
If Pandya completes his 10 overs, he will giveaway 100 runs for sure.

India needs a better bowler than him. His batting is also flukey.
 
England playing Jadeja cautiously as they know that they can tear into Pandya at will.
 
For those who watched India's innings, are England still on track or were Dhoni and Yuvraj ahead at this stage?
 
If Root could convert all these 50's to 100's, he'd probably be the best batsmen right now. However, I don't think his wicket is going to stop the momentum, England are brutal when it comes to situations like these.

Not really. Hafeez is the only one that is 35 in the Pakistani team. I'm not sure what your point here is or if you even have a point.
 
So Yuvi just played the inning of his life at the age of 35. Somebody tell me what happened here lol. Last time India played here, they also scored 350| runs against SL.

England will lose unless Buttler, Stokes and Moeen can start hitting boundaries from the first ball. Morgan has sucked all the life out of this innings.
 
All England needs is a couple of overs where they can score in excess of 20 :pandya

This is easily gettable target. Ground is small, outfield is lightning quick and pitch is a road.

England should look to go for 6 RPO for the next 10 overs and then its 10 RPO for the last 14 overs. Certainly doable.
 
England needs 212 runs in 143 balls with 7 wickets remaining.

They need to play sensibly and score 6 runs per over with an occasional big overs. They will be still in the hunt.

India needs the wicket of Stokes and Buttler for cheap. It will be game over for England.

That a real surprise, I would have though Dravid Ganguly, Azhar having scored centuries past 35!!

While Umesh is atrocious don't forget even Bhuvi gave 100+ in one of his last ODI games before this.

These Indian bowlers aint loyal.
 
Should have sent Buttler in earlier anyway, he's the golden man if they want to chase down this total. While they're not out of the chase, this next partnership needs to add 100+ runs.
 
The captain is sinking his own ship. Morgan really has no place in this team.

I was talking about among Indian players. Plenty of cricketers passed the age of 35 has scored a ton in ODI among other countries.

India doesn't play many 35+ batsmen as we have a steady supply of youngsters.
 
If England can survive this over, then in terms of India's good bowling there's not much left. Ashwin is hittable.
 
Why is a slow poke like Eoin Morgan the Captain of side which is full of such hard hitters and much better averages!!
 
For all the criticism Waqar gets for his English commentary, Kapil makes him look like boycott. Dude can't even make proper sentences even in Hindi.
 
Time and again Jadeja proves his worth in LOI (I think he is not that different in overseas LOIs as well)

Kapil is commentator :facepalm: being a truly gifted cricketer. He never excelled at speaking. It was embarrassing in the 90s when he tried too!

Bumrah is a different bowler in slog overs , i expect him to get it right this time . I think his economy in thast 10 is less than 5 rpo .

Almost forget about him, his ability to consistently bowl yorkers is certainly impressive.
It's the Pandya overs where England can make up the difference.

Easily doable. Its a T20 situation.

Pandya will be taken to the cleaners.

I think another spin bowling alrounder can do away his job at least in India and also be more effective than him! Also it will force one of the spinner to bowl in the powerplay overs which is good actually! For overseas India should sacrifice the alrounder (or bits and piece whatever) for a proper 3rd seamer unless the wicket assists too much for spinners!
 
Jadeja is fast becoming a premium all-format spinner. May even be better than Ashwin right now.
