Slept at 5 and have woken up for the game .. Don't know why I am so excited about this Match .. Wasn't this excited for any of the India-England tests ..

Bangladeshi attack is very weak. Only Shakib will give India any sort of trouble.

Rahane seems loose as a batsman. Once he is in he looks million dollar. But he should be given a stern warning. People are waiting in the wings.

Why doesn't Vijay take strike facing the new ball, Rahul is more prone to brain fades than Sehwag in a rut :40:

Terrible team selection by Kohli.

You drop in form players for out of form ones.

Ishant Sharma? What wrong did Jayant do?

Karun Nair should have been playing.

Batting looks extremely weak.

India showing Bangladesh how test cricket is to be played.

If Bangladesh was batting they would be 30/1 after 4 overs :))

Two wickets, I'm willing to be Umesh & Kumar would pluck a couple in the early overs if they don't stray too much off line/length on this track. It isn't as easy as it looks first up, especially with the grass cover.

Wonder what score will India declare at? 600 might be enough for innings victory.

India's no. 9 (Jadeja) is a better test batsman than Riad, and I think Jadeja is a substandard batsman in intl cricket given his ability.

Feeling bad for Nair. Scores a 300 and then dropped for the next game, that too for a player who has been out of form lately. I hope Rahane bats really well and justifies his selection.

Good bowling by Taskin so far. He is pumped up after getting Rahul out

Nice try man !!

Our batsmen don't know how to differentiate between tests and ODIs. Everyone tries to go for their shots and eventually end up giving their wickets away to mediocre deliveries. Funnily enough, KL Rahul's dismissal is similar to how BD falters, giving away wickets trying to play a loose shot against a loose delivery that didn't deserve a wicket.

Unbelievable pessimism! Or some kind of jinx! I cant really make out..

You bowlers are doing well... be optimistic...lol

Definitely not an easy wicket. It seems there is a bit of uneven bounce(and pace). TBH as a BD fan I am not too dissappointed about bowling first, first 2 hours the pace bowlers will be difficult to handle. Particular both Taskin and Rabbi, they get good bounce.

There is a difference between doing well in patches and doing well overall in a match. With Bangladesh you always expect the unexpected. Bangladesh is one side who can be the better team 80% of the match and still lose it. We have shown that in the tests NZ, against India in WT20s, against England in the 1st ODI.

My expectations will increase when we will have more matured cricketers.

4-5 years ago India could've waited for the spinners to come and dominate. Nowadays it is not the case

Yeah makes me wonder wth was Virat thinking, could've easily bowled first with 3 pacers here.
Now unless the bowl reverses, bowling second our pacers will get (much?) less out of this track.

We had that phase before... we were so used to losing from winnable positions that we became pessimists as well. Totally understand!

Nowadays its a bit opposite for us, we are 'hopeful' that someone will put their hand up and perform..if not top order then tail....

But it wont take much for us supporters to get back to our pessimism phase... haha

Why is India going with three pacers if its a slow pitch?

Not sure of the plans although I am not watching the game anyways.

That was Musfiqurs catch. Should've gone for it. The more I see this guy the more I hate him. Such an annoying and useless cricketer and captain.

Kohli seems to be one trick pony captain ala Arsene Wenger as coach. No tactical flexibility according to opposition or condition

Bad move to bring Sarkar on. Yes, you wanna make use of the new ball with a seamer but if you don't have a third one, it's best to stick with your main bowlers and maintain the pressure the opening bowlers built. They should bring on the spinners now.

Only half an our and bd*bowlers all are loosing grip and line and length. It's now*India's turn to pile 600 runs in 1.5 dats and declare :(

Several senior Indian fans have the same point. They mention how in the 90s and early noughts India had similar issues as us. Tendulkar used to score a lot of runs but the remaining players wouldn't support him much.

This usually happens when you are a young team, but over-time the players become matured.

Unfortunately for us, we are in that phase where we will be creating many oppurtunities where we create a good oppurtunity but when we start believing we could win we then start losing the plot because of the pressure of expectation. We are neither that bad to expect a loss, and not matured enough to win matches from clutch situations.

it's time for Vijay to improve his average. His average doesn't tell how good player he is in tests.

He is a vastly improved batsman and a decent keeper. Check the stats for recent times as opposed to the past.

He even scored almost 200 runs in the first test in NZ before getting injured. He is Bangladesh's best batsman in the sense that he can play any kind of bowling, situation, and condition.

and even though it was keeper's catch, you seriously can't expect a 5 foot keeper to grab that.

It's also about the test culture, we had Sunny, Vishwanath, Vengsarkar, Azhar & SRT aside form Kapil to look up to. I doubt you'll get that chance, not saying that Bangladesh will not get better but it might take a lot longer with the ODI & T20 forms dominating today. Heck aside from SA/Eng/Ind there aren't many good test batting lineups today, obviously excluded Aus because of their long history of batting collapses in the last 5yrs or so & Pak will likely shed their two most experienced batters soon enough.

Not sure you can even call England a world class batting side after they gave 19 of their wickets to an 18 year old batting-allrounder(who ironically averages 2.5 with the bat in 4 tests :D )

Wait what? He has never played the same team twice in test so dunno what you are even talking about. Here again he made an unconventional move to play 3 seamers

BD have bowled well but we have done well in the first hour where the bowler were likely to get some help.

Mehedi has started well

Pujara consistent as hell in Asia..

Continues to maintain that.

66-1 : 17

Seems like India have picked up the pace with their scoring.

Spin at both ends now.. will be an interesting phase. India will look to not lose another wicket until lunch

Unconventional .Yes. But right one ?? Not sure

What I meant by one trick pony is he attacks all the time and not patient enough.

Lolzzz what was that... As per Executioner this was a chance so he should be out

Brother just watch kholi's yesterday interview. He talks about patience in test cricket.
