Another lost toss

Wicket looks like it's going to turn from day 1.

Mark Craig in for Henry????

Did I hear that right???

Wicket is going to be impossible to play on last.

May as well call it 0-3 now.

So many cracks on this early, just imagine it on day 3 or 4.

We may as well have stuck with Wagner.

Neesham is garbage against spin.

In these conditions, Anderson is a much better option but he's injured I think.

Kohli must have done some evil magic ritual or something for the luck! :kohli

If its gonna turn big from day 1, it may not be that bad a deal for NZ.

If its gonna be an easy track on Day 1, it may be a bad deal for NZ.

Still winning toss is defo advantage in Asia.

Did you see the pitch? It's going to be impossible to score runs on day 3 and 4 if it breaks up even more.

Day 3 and 4 will be 2nd innings for both sides if the pitch is a rank turner.

But no doubt toss does give an advantage. NZ must be mentally shot losing this toss.

Angry young man looks like a man on a mission. Anyone else notice his Indian tricolor gloves?

I do not think Toss could help NZ avoid loss here . India with its spinners are better team than NZ in these conditions.

Need to go to the spinners soon, there's nothing there for the pacers.

Need to stick with the spinners, the pacers are getting nothing out there.

The two best spin players in the country imo at the crease. If these two fail, then it's going to be a collapse. Don't trust the others to put up a defiant stand.

Over-appealing already started by NZ. How was that looking out?

This is going to get ugly, we're better off looking to defend with the pacers.

359 is the par first innings score, the last innings average is 103......

Impact outside off stump, still appealing.
World of difference between appealing like it's plumb every second ball for lbws and catches than a half hearted appeal every 30 minutes.

If you can't see that, I don't know what else to say. Come back to it when it gets to the point where the umpire is visibly not impressed.

Oh please Aman, we've just put on 50 runs and you're already talking as if we've made 400. Stop jinxing desperately.:srini

After these two, no one is capable of making above 50 runs on a turner.

Are you watching the same match? There's nothing out there and it's only good for batting for the 1 day (commentators and Vijay's words)..

Dropping Wagner for Neesham was a HUGE mistake.

He could have been useful here, and would have scored as many runs as Neesham here.

Need to hit the batsman's pads more for that. Can do only this much if the ball hits the batsman's pad once in 30 minutes.

Again, none of the appeals have been really strong at all  Stop taking it personally and accept that your team over appeals.

Where did I say anything about India's appealing? Lol. Stop being insecure.

The appeal for that last lbw was nowhere near as big as than all the horrible appeals India have gone up for this series.

Welcome Gambo..!!!

He is the best spin player in the team along with Cheteswar Pujara.

Lift up the spirit mate...its going to get boring if kiwis are not even going to have hope.

Aside form the odd KW innnings, there is nothing to look forward to with this team.

One odd but special KW inning can turn the game in a matter of time you never know.

SA could have won one game atleast last year if AB could convert one of his 40s or 60s or 80s into a special knock.

In all 3 matches, India batted first in the first innings. Huge disadvantage to NZ.

Agreed, the game won't make it past 4 days.

These predictions are always off the mark. In the previous match, we all were led to believe that NZ won't even score 50 runs in the finals innings whereas at one point NZ were 104-1 and could have been favorites at that stage if kw was playing.

Brilliant to see a near full house for a test match.

And people say test cricket is dying in Asia.

It's dead in places like Mohali, Nagpur and Ahmedabad. Those 3 places should not host test matches as the stadia are outside city limits.

Honestly I have never seen god crowds at Mohali even for ODIs. Think more tests should be given to the non traditional venues and crowds will flock to the stadia.

NZ missed a trick by not playing Sodhi. Pointless selection in Neesham. If your batsmen can't score then your tail certainly isn't going to do any better. Strengthening it won't change much.

Come on boys... win this match... make us proud!

3rd toss win for India in a row. ICC needs to think about very heavy toss advantage. I'm not saying NZ would have definitely won batting first but it would have given them a much better chance.
A series with alternate calling would have been much better.

India simply too good for us.

7th/8th is a fair reflection of this teams talents.

It's KW + a few Test standard players.

All this talk of not playing their best cricket yet is a load of bull.

Most of them aren't good enough to play well here.

You need a quality opener for Guptil. Rest are fine IMO.
The only player I have faith in is KW. I expect everyone else to fail whenever we play top sides. They aren't good enough to perform against top sides.

Blackcaps played better than anyone except England in India.

They drew in UAE which English and Aussies couldn't manage.

Give them some credit.

Kiwi fans should not be disappointed, they competed well to most teams in the last 4 years against us at home.

If Ross was in form, games would have been lot more closer.

Santner guy is an excellent find.

About time one of these two got a hundred.

What people forget is how good he was with the bat for us (dropped off in the last year or so).

He was a match winner.

He scored a triple century with a spent back. That's the most memorable thing to me rather than his recklessness in the final year of his game.

Doesn't surprise me that our decline falls in line with McCullum's drop in form.

What I would give to have him back opening for us... we don't have much else in the cupboard.

India lost all 4 tosses against Australia in 2013 and still blanked them. How the hell can ICC take action against a bloody coin?
