Why is Henriques scoring runs? 27 is way too much.

Thank God for no DRS eh. Hopefully he goes on to score a triple

He's one of the best tactical captains going around these days

Apart from the odd series victory against Pakistan a few months ago, the guy hasn't done much. Don't care about the ODI stuff.

Lanka since Murali are rabbits.

Ashwin is the only bowler who looks dangerous. Go for a perfect 10 man!

Same could be said about India after Dravid and VVS...

Cannot believe Ojha has been left out for this Lalloo Bhajji. India practically playing with just one bowler.

That's tea. Need to polish them all out by today or it's going to get incredibly tough to win. I doubt we can score more than 300 tops unless Sehwag lets rip.

Ojha is best spin bowler when it comes to test cricket. he is dropped.
VVS was forced to retire.
Says a lot about how much MSD cares or understand our test team.

Surprise, the umpire was good ol' Dharmasena.

Still not a fan of DRS regardless, but just saying.

Any one know the average score batting first here?

Aus 215/5 - Aussies rebuilding fairly well here, Its down to Aussies best player of Spin clarke to get a hundred and really help Aussies towards 300+ possibly.

Had a look at the ground stats

Ave 1st innings total is around 340

offtopic - @Varun - are you by any chance "Spiderguy" who used to post here in PP before (not much active these days)?

Nope. I was a reader for long though, just signed up during the Pakistan ODIs.

Warne says anything above 270 would be a great First Innings score.

man clarke just carries on churning out runs regardless of opposition or pitch.

This is it. Clarke is going to score a triple.

Argh why are we making Henriques look like a superstar?

I may be a bit late to say this but how the heck is Ojha not playing? He was india's best bowler by some way in the last series, one of the strangest selections I've seen in a long time.

Hard to think we need to score 230 at this point just to get even. I doubt we can score that on an average.

MSD lives in his own world where Jadeja is good enough to take VVS's spot and Ashwin and Harbhajan are better bowlers than Ohja.

@Varun - Cool!

Match is entering into a familiar territory for us. MSD's decision to not select Ojha and persisting with someone like Bhajji and/or Sehwag who have done nothing appreciable in the last few seasons is sure gonna cost us yet another series.

Did you have Ashwin though.
Nope

Adrian Meredith: "MH = Michael Hussey and Moises Henriques. So far, Henriques is batting out of his skin and doing a very good Hussey impression!"

I can understand that OZ doesn't have many options available atm. But India's pathetic selection blunders are beyond my understanding.

Leaving your best spinner out (if fit) is absolute criminal. I wish OZ too whitewashes India and then these good for nothing bunch of hecks are thrown out for good.

Aussies have played positively and gone for the runs , that has been the key , had they played defensively they would have been 180 / 6 now.

Good recovery from the OZ to get to 240 with still some cowlashers to come. If we can get to 300 by stumps for no loss I will take it, I thought 300 was a decent score on this wicket.

Who would have thought they would drop Ojha eh lol. Unbelieveable :msd
Who ever had Ashwin as captain is going to score big. Hope Harby turns it on. I made him my captain LOL fail whale

Ashwin reverting to his "Let's try everything through the six balls in an over" tactic. Never works.

Yeah, I thought he was a certainty but Dhoni doesn't seem to use logic often when making selections, hopefully clarke scores a big hundred to make up for it :P
350-450 looks on the cards.

Valuable runs from Moey. And looks like Ashwin's a bit injured lol. Bring back Million Dollar Man Jadeja please.

19 overs left. If these two remain standing till the end it's a disgrace.

Also, it will be very interesting to see the presser at the end of today. I hope Dhonut is grilled on Ojha being dropped and Harbhajan being picked.

Sounds like India's best bowler from the Test series v England has been traded in so Dhoni's mate can play his hundredth test. Poor stuff and looks like India are paying for it.
