Sounds like India's best bowler from the Test series v England has been traded in so Dhoni's mate can play his hundredth test. Poor stuff and looks like India are paying for it.

Bhajji wasnt a bad pick.might still do something in 2nd innings

Ishant is

Bring on Harbhajan just for the lulz. Will be fun to see him touch 0/100.

BTW the average score batting first to win/draw/tie here is around 365. Even though this wicket has probably deteriorated quite a bit more than an average one here, Aussies will still need around 350+ imo given their pace heavy attack and lack of quality spin options.

Also, it will be very interesting to see the presser at the end of today. I hope Dhonut is grilled on Ojha being dropped and Harbhajan being picked.

I would love to see what his answer would be. I cannot think of any reasonable explanation.

Are you serious!?

Harbhajan should be nowhere near Indian cricket. At least Sharma is in his early 20s and is a seam bowler.

Dhoni takes the word favoritism to a whole new level.

Ishant is back. Come on, let's get Henriques out. How hard can it be.

Clarke was already out in a DRS environment, but I digress.

This sort of favouritism, nepotism and regionalism seems more common in subcontinent cricket.

kayveea: "is there a possibility to change captain during mid innings? I am bored with Dhoni's tactics for the past 18 months."

I am telling ya. Simplest way to make it to national team is You have to either open a business in partnership to Dhoni or represent CSK.

Also heard of this team who has a Zimbabwean coach who continually picks players from his continent ahead of the country's own, should there be a 50:50 decision.

Pup looks good for a hundred if he doesn't run out of partners

Varun, Those Africans outperform the local English. But what MSD is doing to the test team is a sin.

All ten test teams have their well known nepotism and/or regional bias.

Was referring to the nepotism bit. Yeah, of course Pietersen is better than the Pommies Collingwood/Thorpe or whoever he initially replaced.

Funnily enough they were advertised as that when they toured NZ last time..

The last time they performed somewhat ok in NZ. I am sure the next time they go there *under MS*, NZ will black wash them for sure:sami

Henriques ODI stats:

Games: 5

Average - 8

High score - 12

Runs - 32

And then, first class career:

Ave: 51 from 65 innings

What the heck?

What the heck?

This year in Sheffield Shield he is averaging 77 with the bat and 18 with the ball.

When I head up to the ground tomorrow, I bet I'll be there to see Clarke crack a triple. At this rate.

A back to back series against India wouldn't hurt.

Averages even lower than 42 in India. Mid-30s.

What sort of a legend are we talking about again?

Still has a bit to go does Clarke.

the pitch is turner,he has good record v Aus.so not as bad

Sharma is

Its about this time of day where the Indian fielders and bowlers start to look tired and bored, lacking the desire of all the other test teams. Australia should cash in.

Our bowling attack is basically Ashwin or nothing. And when he runs out of steam we have nobody. Even an ageing Zaheer here could've worked.

Yaar why don't we take that dhruv and jalaj saxena playing here.india A bowlers>>Indian national team bowlers!

Aussies need all the runs they can get here, the pitch will get slower and slower and getting wickets would be tough here.

Don't care what he did in 2001. Couldn't do anything in Mumbai against England when even the formerly mediocre Panesar ripped us to shreds.

Harbhajan needs to be shown the door.

Past records, mental edge, etc. mean a zilch when playing on the ground. The only thing that matters is present form, and the zeal to perform for the country.

Or else a team comprising on Dravid, VVS, Viru the Shewag, SRT-100 century maker etc. can never get beaten *edit* white washed at the hands of England & a depleted OZ.

Even Ashwin didnt do much there.lets wait.as bad as he is,hes certainly better pick than Ishant for the conditions

Yaar koi Australians ko jaldi out karo!!i want to see sehwag bat not these trundlers bowl!

LOL Bedi

Ishant bowling without slip reflects negativity-Clarke not given out serves Indns right not accepting DRS game drifting away frm Indns..!!

Just went outside to get the laundry and the scoreboard's still rattling along.

Sad.

Hope Henriques doesn't take these runs to heart. Should always keep in mind that the opposition he's facing is called India and batsmen have always been known to score against us for a reason.

Get Sehwag or Tendulkar on I say. They're more experienced than these hags holding the ball at the moment.

They're slowing down, Clarke and Henriques.

India shouldn't be too disheartened its Clarke who will score the majority of runs for Aus, so if they get him out cheaply you should bowl Aus out cheaply.

400+ on the cards folks.

Brace yourself.

This game is going to be a thrashing of a lifetime. Courtesy Henriques as one of the main players!

Aussies look like they will be in a comanding postion now, the wicket looks very slow and even though ashwin has taken 5 wickets its not offered a great deal to spinners otherwise.

India still have to bat and Aus still have to bowl.

So was giving Harbdulkar a charity game for his 100th test, despite having terrible domestic form a mistake?

I mean what did he do to earn a comeback? Nothing i could see. Hope he goes wicketless.

Good old Clarkey looking good in India again.
