Well I am sure the Australian bowlers will also be taken to the cleaners when they come out. Seems like a good wicket, going by the hitting in the end atleast.

Why Zaheer is not playing he is your best death bowler?

Rested.i have no problems with resting him, bhajji etc,but they better perform when needed at world cup because death bowling has always been a problem for us,and in subcontinent pitches more so.Dhoni has to make sure this problem solved by using slow bowlers, yorkers etc otherwise if we dont win toss in crucial matches like quarterfinals i sense early exit

Proves his critics wrong again. He will be in the squad for sure but maybe they will have a long look at him before they confirm in for the captaincy

Yeah for Captaincy part ..they have to look forward for other ....me too ..not much impressed with Clarke captaincy in past..

good to see rohit sharma not playing. Thats the best news to come out

and good to see dhawan, who has been very very unlucky for 6 years, finally get a well deserved chance. Hope he makes the most of it & smashes a match winning 100 today

and :nehra just sent marshs stumps flying

rofl

Tendulkar, Dhoni and Raina all also got ducks on debut. So Dhawan is following the tradition of some big Indian names

Ha ha nice. But problem for dhawan is there is sewag uncle waiting at the back of him

If he even follows the least best of those three, he will be in good company.

mitchell starc's action is pretty much like mitchell Johnson . Johnson is more slingy !

Sehwag's record in ODi's is pretty ordinary for a man of his class :yk

Ya but what i meant was, this guy has to make his opportunity when he gets it.atleast score 20 or 30 runs because he has to come past sachin, sewag, gambhir, vijay if he has to play in the world cup.so imagine the competition.no will dare to drop sewag here as anytime he will make a 100

Starc looks good though, he's quick and will presumably be like Johnson in that he'll be all over the place at times, but extremely EXTREMELY potent when at his best.

Bit raw for an Australian debutant though.

Shewag record in pretty ordinary in tests as well in SA,NZ & Eng where ball swings a bit....no wonder he averages 13 against :asif

Your on your own in this one mate I would take Sehwag in any format of the game so don't think I was bashing him just a mere point.

These commentators are ridiculous, 'remarkable shot' ... he just cover drove a half volley outside off ffs!

:moyo

Hmm let me guess: shiva, arun lal, sunny gavaskar, shastri, brad hogg..one of these?

dhawan a debut duck.....what an epic failure......is this what the emerging indian talent is.....cant wait when tendulker ,dravid, laxman retires

Arun Lal on this occasion, him and Shiva are commentating at the moment and I couldn't take it anymore so switched the stream off :rao

I am Happy Clarke got runs here ..he is one of my favorite...
really, I thought he scored too slow. This is a batting friendly pitch. If it wasn't for white's innings of more than twice the strike rate of clarke's, Australia would have probably posted a pretty poor total of 230/240.

If clarke had got out a little earlier, Australia probably would have got over 300. I'm not saying he didn't do a good job stabilising after two early wickets loss, but he didn't do a great job of building the innings with a healthy strike rate after that.

as always any nonsense can be taken compared to the great sidhu

comment from cricinfo commentary( Indian bashing on cricinfo.....hehehehehe..i love it...bring it on

Mandeep: "I really love the optimism of Indian fans and the cricinfo commentators (specially those supporting India!)...A poor start from a mediocre batsman, and being compared to greats like Tendulkar just coz he gets out for a duck....You made my day !!"

LOL, bechara Dhawan, I think he's a decent player.

what...he is a decent player for getting out on a duck....the guy got out on a second ball but u still think he is a decent player....he is an epic failure....He is jadeja in disguise but i hope jadeja and dhawan play for india for a very long time......Amir n ajmal gonna eat them alive in the worldcup

even the best players get out on a duck, it's not as if he was the first one ever.

have seen quite a bit of him in Indian domestic cricket, and IPL, he is certainly a talented fellow.

and please don't give me the FTB speeches, we all know them inside and out.

After so many lectures u still dont get it....Next time pay more attention to FTB lectures......Judging someone on a flat track indian domestic cricket is the same as judging some one playing on house roof with a plastic ball and holding a ten inch thick bat...BUT i know exactly what ur doing..ur praising dhawan so he stays in the team and play for india for a long long long time so our bowlers can improve their average....i get it ...i get it...lemme help u as well...Jadeja is the best cricketer ever to play cricket in the history of the game

Australian young pace battery : Josh hazlewood , James pattison , John Hastings and Mitchell starc !

He better be for next few games.whether they care about bowling or not, indian batting line up is always a rat race these days

rat race....ys i agree with u...either rat race or a flat track race...both are equally boring...hehehehehe

Bhuwan: "The most astounding of all stories of neglected talent is that of Jhulan Goswami...despite being India's second best fast bowler, she has been constantly overlooked over the likes of Vinay Kumars and Dhindas"

What ever u say guys but India young batting line up is better than ur whole pak batting line up remember getting out for lowest scores three times in test series not even ur yousuf couldnt save pak. What is this fascination with pace bowling when u dont win matches pakistan hasnt won a test series since 2006 no odi series win since 2008 its about time pak win matches instead of critcising India.

India has made 117 runs in first 25 overs and need to make another 173 in the next 25 overs!

170/2 32.0

virat kohli is silently sealing the no3 spot with his decent consistency.

One thing is for sure

kohli > Sharma in ODIs atleast.

And if Yuvraj can continue to keep things tight with the ball India could have a top order of sehwag, tendulkar, gambhir, kohli, and a lower order of dhoni yuvraj and raina.

don't really get how the Aussies expect to take 10 Indian wickets with these bowlers.

bollinger could have made the difference maybe.at the moment its all our team

Lol i just now saw hauritz is there.how come they selected him after the tests. But sometimes feel maybe deserves some more chances.

Arun Lal is like orgasmic -'They're really turning on the heat these two...'

this was a 350+ pitch...and australia batted like wounded kangaroos till the last 5 overs n by then it was just too late

these kinda pitches will highlight the world cup...and the dew will make it an awful contest in day night matches ugh...the dew will kill any chance of reverse swing to help the bowlers and forget bout the help to spinner
