Another 150 or so and it looks like an innings defeat for Eng may be on the way.

Just goes to show you need a great bowling attack, not one great bowler.
I'd be tempted to declare at 500 and show some intent to dominate
I blame the pitch.
This is a two spinners and two part-time spinners pitch. Cook should have played Monty over.
Finn wouldn't have done anything special.

(Broad did a drama there.... was a long long appeal for nothing).
Not playing Monty might cost Swann an injury here
Finn and Monty in for Bresnan and Broad, cheers thanks.
Swann is very fit, he would be unlucky to pick up an injury. But no doubt we have to play at least one other spinner in the 2nd test. Disgraceful selection policy here.
Can't drop your vice captain mate!
I wish you weren't so right love.
Swann or Prior should be VC.
Vice captaincy is over-rated though. It doesn't matter if you haven't got one.
Prior seems to be very active. He would be good as VC.
I never rated him before this match

With ball keeping low, few 90 mph+ full deliveries could have really been deadly.
Some dismissals like this

Although pitches are not same.
500 up, why haven't India declared yet? Surely this is enough to give Ashwin and Ojha a go?
I don't think Kapil was ever 90+ bowler , he wasn't even fully fit in this match. It was day 5 pitch.
I can't even begin to understand why.
Bit defensive from Dhoni at this stage. India should have aimed to have four English wickets by stumps.
this was his first real test against a good line up in tough circumstances..
I have a feeling Zaheer will be more effective. He can move ball much more than English bowlers in these conditions.Yeah, I thought someone will mention that. I didn't mean that he was 90 mph bowler. But with speed and low bounce a bowler can bring such dismissals into equation.
No it wasn't. Check out his match-winning performances in South Africa and Sri Lanka, some of his home and away Ashes tests. Cricket exists outside India fella.
oh is it... try winning some tests here no..)
