catch 22 situation.

sachin want a big score before he retires
if he scores big then he wont retire

:afridi

Sachin has looked woeful in this inns but had fought like a tiger and got to 50 so fair does to him, one would wonder what he would be like if he regains his form!

And the 'Loin of Punjab', Yuvraj Singh, needs to decide if Test cricket is his thing...

So true, sentiments aside he has had no real merit(s) to be on the test line up as a batsmen (besides his non-existent temperament/technique for Test quality batting, he has been pretty average fielder post 2005 and always been a pie-chucker in bowling).

New set of selectors following the same age old method by picking a player on his past laurels(or fan following?) rather than logic. Instead of yuvi, they should be giving chance to someone like Rahane or Manoj Tiwary or even Raina.

six overs more before new ball , new ball would be vital , anderson needs to get wickets with that.

Anderson too good for Midget!

Still well played, now he can retire with pride!

Hats off to Tendulkar - just when the pressure's on and he needs to prove his worth, he does exactly that.

Anderson did the job with a 74 overs old ball....Was not expecting an outside edge from the bowling of Anderson to carry to Prior..that too with a 74 over old ball on Eden Gardens pitch...

Anderson gets out his bunny yet again. This wicket is flat as a pancake.

We need at least 300 runs in the 1st Inning to put any sort of challenge(?) to the English batters.

For most of the second rate teams, India, Oz, England, getting the tail out is harder than getting the top order out.

Soft batsmen used to pancake wickets and being able to hit the new ball over cover....

dhoni needs to bat through..good chance for him to improve his form..but he s not a test material IMO
