Stright drive and 4 runs. What a shot. That kind of shot is played by very good batsmen.

very good shot,very good innings

mellowed my dissapointment a bit:(

Last wicket stand 61...

Ashwin 27 short of century..

Can these 2 add another 60/70 runs

Ashwin is a proven all rounder i think now

I think he can become like Malik if he work's on his batting. I think he has more talent for batting then spinning.

Ashwin and pathan can easily bat at number 7 and 8 and thus India can go in with 5 bowlers in ODI

This is actually a good little innings, another good shot!

Short bowl. This guy is a batting all rounder. Dhoni missed something over here. He is playing like a full number 3 batsmen.

81 from 145 playing better a thousand times better then Kohli in tests. Have him bat higher at 6 or 7.

Last over of the day.. If England take the wicket they'll have the extra half hour.

Terrible captaincy and bowling. Frustrating

Why aren't they bowling yorkers. Is it because they cant???? Ever since the tail came up they haven't bowled any yorker.

Ashwin is once again proving that how improtant player he is for us lower down the order.

Single 32 runs lead STUMPS. Match will go to fifth day. Great play by Ashwin. The only player amongst 11 who fought.

If rain does save play, then ****, thats one of the biggest escapes of all time.
If it doesn't, can ashwin play out a whole day with Ojha :? That would be amazing :D

We need to get our heads clear. Ashwin may look good for a no.8 batsman but he's still a no.8 batsman for gods sake. Could've easily tempted him to hit over the top early in the inns but Cook refused to attack for apparently no reason at all, now paying the price. Cookie is still new to captainship and hopefully he'll learn.

Look like tailenders rattled you guys :))

Ashwin's innings does not hide the fact that there are too many deadwoods in our squad which need to be get rid of quickly if we want to see our squad challenging the opposition consistently.

Barring 1st test, England have been too dominant with bat, ball and in the field. Our players appears to have surrendered too meakly without putting any sort of fight.

I hope for India's sake that they don't manage to scrape a draw out of this. It'll send the wrong message that changes don't need to be made and they won't improve.

That's the problem with Indian fans, you see a good inns from someone and people usually forget their struggles. Very good example is @musaarthali

Is it forecast to rain all day?

That's the only way a draw is happening.

if anything Ashwin highlights the problem of the specialist batsmen even more. I'm not bashing Ashwin he's a good bat for a bowler, in fact he might even be the best test bat out of any of the current bowlers today. But if guys like Ashwin are performing on this pitch, why aren't guys like Gambhir, Tendulkar, Kohli etc. These guys have all got more batting talent, better technique and more experience.

Who knows if India change their coach things can become better? Fletcher has looked pathetic. The same team which won respect in South Africa, England and Australia is giving disgraceful performances here, there and everywhere.

Fletcher is a much worse coach than Greg Chappell. Under Chappell, they didnt lose this badly.

Wow what a performance by the Eng bowlers. From none for 80 odd to 8 down for less than 160. The wickets of Sehwag and Pujara in the space of a few overs were the turning points. Things have got a bit away from Eng towards the end though. Ashwin putting up a great fight back.

The issue is that senior indian players are all powerful, thats the whole reason chappell got the sack.

Change the coach and it won't change the problem, any coach that calls out the senior guys will be sacked.

The indians could quite easily dig the pitch up over-night and blame it in terrorists from across the border

Ashwin should be dropped from the next test for being the only batsman to give a damn about saving this test.

Ashwin's batting shows that there are no demons in the wicket. Really Our team has become a below average test team.

Early pictures of the nagpur pitch for next test have already been released
