When asked at a media briefing about Pakistan PM Imran Khan's comments, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said India's record speaks for itself and suggested that it would be wrong to say that only one leader complimented New Delhi. New Delhi:

India has received praise from across the board for many of its foreign policy initiatives, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said on Monday, a day after Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan lauded India for its independent foreign policy.

When asked at a media briefing about Mr Khan's comments, Mr Shringla said India's record speaks for itself and suggested that it would be wrong to say that only one leader complimented New Delhi. To say that one person would be wrong. I think we have received praise across the board for many of our foreign policy initiatives at the level of the prime minister. I think our record speaks for itself," the foreign secretary said at a media briefing.

At a public rally in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, Mr Khan lauded India for following an independent foreign policy saying New Delhi imported crude oil from Russia despite American sanctions on Moscow for its attack on Ukraine.

While that policy is ok but socialism isn’t. Capitalism with that policy makes more sense.

We have a saying der aaye par durust aaye.

Finally IK gets it. Hopefully for his sake it’s not too late.

Don't take him seriously. He is mentally sick hypocrite master of U turns.

Btw, IK has put his bakhts in a very awkward situation. Earlier he made them to believe that Modi has divided India into zillion pieces internally & isolated India globally. Now he wants to make them believe India has the best foreign policy in the world. His blind followers have no clue how to respond to this statement. :yk3

Is this IK's nail in the coffin? I heard he called the Indian army non-corrupt as well?

We have a saying "dushman ka dushman apka dost"
Whenever our PMs are under pressure from the military, they give friendly statements towards India in anticipation of assistant from them in their ongoing fight. :altaf

IK was praising Indian stance, it seemed from the reply by the Indian Foreign Secretary that they didn't appreciate the praise, as he deflected somewhat wormily, that other countries had praised India, not only one leader.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday accused the United States of threatening Pakistan that if no-trust motion does not succeed, the country will have to bear dire consequences. Khan said that the “powerful country" got annoyed with his trip to Russia but never censured India due to its ‘independent foreign policy’.

“I do not blame India for this because it is looking out for its best interest," the Pakistan prime minister said.

Washington: In a strong message to China, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that if harmed, India will not spare anyone, as he asserted that India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged as a powerful country and is headed to be among the top three economies of the world.

Singh, in his address to the Indian-American community in San Francisco, also sent a subtle message to the US that New Delhi does not believe in a diplomacy of “zero-sum game” and its relationship with one country cannot be at the expense of the other.

The defence minister was here to attend the India US 2+2 ministerial in Washington DC. Thereafter, he travelled to Hawaii for meetings at IndoPACOM headquarters and then to San Francisco.

At a reception hosted in his honour by the Indian Consulate in San Francisco, the Defence Minister told the select gathering about the valour shown by Indian soldiers on the border with China.

“I cannot say openly what they (Indian soldiers) did and what decisions we (the government) took. But I can definitely say that a message has gone (to China) that India will not spare anyone, if India is harmed. (Bharat ko agar koi chherega to Bharat chhorega nahi),” he said.

The Ladakh border standoff between the Indian and Chinese militaries erupted on May 5, 2020, following a violent clash in the Pangong lake areas. The face-off escalated after the Galwan Valley clashes on June 15, 2020. As many as 20 Indian soldiers and an unspecified number of Chinese troops were killed in the clashes.

India and China have held 15 rounds of military talks so far to resolve the eastern Ladakh standoff. As a result of the talks, the two sides completed the disengagement process last year in the north and south banks of the Pangong lake and in the Gogra area.

Without making any direct reference to the American pressure with respect to Russia because of the Ukraine war, Singh said India does not believe in a “zero-sum game” diplomacy.

If India has a good relationship with one country, it does not mean that its relationship with any other country will deteriorate, he said. “India has never adopted this kind of diplomacy. India will never opt for this (kind of diplomacy). We don't believe in the zero-sum game in international relationships,” he said.

India, he said, believes in having a bilateral relationship which is based on “win-win” for both the countries.

His remarks came amidst some disquiet in Washington over India's position on the Ukraine crisis as well as its decision to procure discounted Russian oil.

“The image of India has changed. The prestige of India has improved. In the next few years, no power in the world can stop India from becoming the world's top three economies,” Singh said.

In his address to the Indian community, Singh said that in the past, if any country in the world wanted to develop and prosper, they always thought about establishing a vibrant trade with India.

“We should aim at establishing a similar ecosystem in India by the time we celebrate our 100th independence Day in 2047,” he said.

The defence minister said that during his last trip to the US in 2013, at a reception in New Jersey he had told a group of Indian Americans that "the success story of India is not over, it is waiting for the BJP to come into power. At that time, people were disappointed with the performance of the then Congress government." In eight years, he said, the Modi government has "turned around" the country and the image of India has changed for the better.

“(Globally) people have now realised that India is no longer a weak country. It is a powerful country of the world. Today India has the potential to lead the world. This potential of India is something that the world has now realised,” he said.

Nothing else could be a “grand achievement” for a country like India in such a short span, he said.

"There have been several prime ministers in India who became the leader of the country after they occupied this post. But like Pt Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi were the country's leaders even before they became the prime minister," he said.

“Today we have a new and confident Bharat,” he said, adding that India is now headed towards becoming a self-reliant country and the Modi government is taking several important steps in this regard, including in the defence sector, he said.

India has taken several key steps towards indigenisation of its defence sector, he said as he briefly described some of such decisions being taken by the government.

Observing that India has a lot of faith and confidence in the country's IT sector, the defence minister said that Indian talents are playing a major role in the world's IT sector and the Modi government has taken steps towards massive digitisation.

India today, he said, is marching ahead to become an economic power and the government is not only working towards the welfare and prosperity of its people, but also helping people in other parts of the world as well.

UK Navy Declines Air India's Hangar Space Offer To Park Grounded F-35B: Sources

The Royal Navy's crown jewel F-35B Lightning II stealth fighter jet, which has been parked in the open in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram for six days, will not be moved inside a hangar, as requested by the British navy, sources said.

The American-origin F-35B - the most expensive fighter jet in terms of programme cost - is packed with advanced technologies that Britain may not want others to take a closer look at, sources said, adding this could be one of the reasons why the Royal Navy declined Air India's offer to allocate hangar space to park the aircraft, away from the elements.

It is highly likely that concerns over "protected technologies" may have delayed any decision on the Royal Navy's part to take the F-35B inside a hangar.

While they have so far declined the offer, they may consider moving it inside the hangar for a final inspection and repair, sources said.

The British F-35B made an unscheduled landing in Thiruvananthapuram International Airport on June 14. The jet, one of the most advanced of its kind in the world, has become an unusual and high-profile presence at the airport, drawing attention from aviation enthusiasts and onlookers.

The aircraft is part of the UK's HMS Prince of Wales carrier strike group, currently deployed in the Indo-Pacific region. The carrier group recently completed joint maritime exercises with the Indian Navy.

Since the F-35B's arrival in Kerala, British aviation engineers have been working intensively to fix a technical snag in the aircraft's hydraulic systems.

Despite their efforts, the issue remains unresolved, delaying the fighter jet's return to its mother ship. The aircraft remains parked at the airport under a strict security cordon.

Initially, the F-35B pilot contacted Thiruvananthapuram airport and sought clearance for landing citing low fuel. The next day, the Indian Air Force (IAF) confirmed that it was an emergency landing, and the IAF would be providing all necessary support.

The pilot and Royal Navy technicians are at the airport, looking into the mechanical issues.

Its not even their tech and this has nothing to do with foreign policy. Fact that they chose to make stop in India after technical snag rather than any other neighbouring country is proof of the trust in India.
This is sophisticated tech that every nation is protective of so i don't blame them for being paranoid about it. India's in process of developing its own 5.5 gen fighterjet.
