Pakistan reach 8/1 (trail by 354) at Stumps on Day 3 of 2nd Test against New Zealand

Can Pakistan play 10 Batsmen to try and save this test match. Can we request NZL Captain to allow us.
 
Shaheen has kept on soldiering on, charging in and he is still bowling at 140 km/hr. He went through the hard yards in Australia and now New Zealand. He for sure will definitely be better off with this experience in the long run. He can hold his head respectably from this series.
 
Does anyone know how badly we lost in the last NZL series, i think Mickey Arthur team atleast had sharam and hayaa.
 
Kane Williamson is the best in the world right now, what an innings 👏👏👏

These are the kind of standards that you need to set to be considered as amongst the best batsmen in the world.
 
Zafar and Naseem have already scored tons in the innings. Abbas reaching there fast, Afridi will follow next. Proud day for Pakistan.

I have nothing against Gohar, NZL is not a a
Place for Spinners, can’t blame him, I hope he plays SA series he will do really well.

At best, they'll be something like 100-5, with Rizwan and Faheem scoring counter-attacking half centuries and then getting out with the score being about 220-ish for 7. The tail might wag and score 40-50 runs. Pak will get all out for about 260-270. That's my guess, best case scenario.
 
Why these commis are talking rubbish about declaration? Officially still 225+ overs remaining in the game - they should bat as long as possible and then bowl absolute flat out without bothering ... unless it rains for half a day, PAK won’t save this game.
 
Williamson should go for his triple-hundred and extend our misery. There is no need to rush the declaration.

Let this wonderful attack have the honor of conceding two triple-centuries in successive years. I don’t think any bowling attack has achieved that feat before.

No thanks I haven’t seen a single ball today. I am just up because i have a day off from work and i am watching Cast Away and hoping to wake up late tomorrow.
 
First time in many years that I won't tune in to watch even a single delivery of a day's play. Have better things to do than watch this pathetic bunch
 
I think NZ illl learn from last match and declare with a lead of 400 by today stumps. And then bowl out by tomorrow under 200. Win by innings and 200 runs
 
So, basically Gohar will be dropped against SAF at home and Nauman or Kashif will debut....

If this bowling attack and team management make a couple of more tours, or if they play on a flat wicket at home without Yasir, they can become the team to concede 1,000 runs in an innings and break SL’s record total of 952.

Australia could have done it last year and perhaps Warner could have broken Lara’s FC record of 501*, but they didn’t care much. They declared on 589/3 after crashing Pakistani talents at a run rate of 4+.
 
Yasir must be feeling happy to not be bowling on this pitch. Poor Zafar.
 
Still 7 sessions to go after this one. Kane should take his time and score as many as possible.

Timely rain cost Warner that day, otherwise could have given a real fight to PAK avoiding innings defeat against him alone ...
 
Shaheen is the only one who will retain his spot in this line up. Even then i fear for him as he desperately needs workload management now and he cannot be playing in all formats of the game forever repeatedly. Looks like the likes of Rahat Ali, Junaid Khan, Imran Khan Sr are likely to be recalled. Mohd Wasim in many shows repeatedly talked about rewarding domestic performers therefore the likes of Hasan Ali and Waqaas Maqsood are an option as well. Waqaas Maqsood is actually a much better bowler than perceived, he doesn't look handsome, marketable or someone who passes the eye test but he gets the job done.

So i am expecting Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, Waqaas Maqsood and maybe Zafar Gohar/Tabish Khan

That was obvious trolling ... what was irritating is that he compared Mitchel with a Test average of 45 with Hammad Azam ....
 
Another box office day for Pakistan team. When we bat it is a bowling wicket, but when we bowl, it is a batting wicket.

NZ should be feeling pity for us and declare so the misery can end today.

Don't think I have seen Gohar bowl a single threatening delivery in his 25 odd overs. Not even a single one.
 
Bring back Abbas & Shaheen so they also get own hundreds. Abbas 2 Shorts & Shaheen 9 .

I hope New Zealand score 700+ in order to utterly humiliate our pathetic team and end the career of Mohammad Abbas, who is a traitor to our fast-bowling history. I feel sorry for Naseem and Shaheen, talented young bowlers who have had their Test careers decimated for the foreseeable future by this cancerous pairing of Misbah and Waqar. Even the terrible Indian bowling attack of the 2000's didn't concede 500+ in almost every innings in SENA. In fact, god knows what would happen to this attack if they played in Sri Lanka or, god forbid, India.

Tell Naseem, Shaheen and Musa to pack their bags and head back to domestic cricket and NHPC for the next 2 years, so they can develop the cricketing intelligence to match their talent. Ban Abbas from ever participating in any cricketing activity in Pakistan, as I fear he will inspire young bowlers to trundle and continue bringing shame to our country. Call in the seniors Waqas Maqsood, Tabish Khan and Aamer Yamin alongside Hasan Ali and Zia-Ul-Haq. These guys should play for the next 3 years so that our fast bowling talents are actually allowed to develop in domestic cricket.

They came out of their caves in MCG and showed their undeniable class and mental strength by thrashing Australia. Some teams do the talking on the field, others do it in pressers. I leave it to you to make your own conclusions from here on...

The only thing that's worse for Pakistan than the demolition job currently underway here is a fightback from the batting lineup to draw this match. I'm expecting contributions from 3 of Azhar, Fawad, Rizwan, Faheem. However for us to draw this match, it means 1 of Shan, Abid and Haris must also score heavily (there are more chances of me waking up on the moon than more than 1 of them contributing). If that happens, that individual will be treated like a legend by Misbah and book his spot in the side for the next year. As a nation, we cannot afford that.
