UAE is 4 down for 75 runs in this game but can you believe that there are 3 run-outs in these 4 wickets?

Misbah's son is in the team. Worthy selection or favoritism?

Pakistan U19 vs UAE U19

UAE set a target of 192 runs for Pakistan.

UAE U19: 191 all out (49.3 ov)

4 of the players in the playing XI didn’t play any domestic U16 or U19 tournaments , wonder how they got selected.

Only couple of guys will be eligible for U19 World Cup 2026 from this batch, what’s the point of picking older unknown players , would have been better if they had selected from the U16 and groom them till worldcup.

How is he selected

Usman Khan is a gun all rounder, opener and the highest run scorer of the U16 tournament at 98 s/r and 6th highest wicket taker as a leg spinner.

Umar zaib also didn’t play any domestic tournament and Haroon Arshad is extremely crap and had horrible numbers in domestic tournaments he played and looked awful in the U19 World Cup as he can’t play anything over 120k.

Highly dodgy selection this time as half of the team is not on merit

What’s the point of U16 and U19 tournaments when some outsiders get selected in the national team and tournament top performers are just wasted.

Score update:

Pakistan u19 73/0 (21.0 /50.0 ov)

119 runs needed in 29.0 overs (174 balls) with 10 wickets remaining. RRR: 4.10

There is a Karachi guy who captained Karachi 16 and led them to trophy and was the 7th highest wicket taker and 4th highest run scorer and an opening batsmen and a medium pacer , his name is Huzaifa Ahsan , is it the same Huzaifa in the squad or different?

He's a very good friend of the captain who himself is quite average.

You dont get selected in u19 on the basis of list a performance. You get sele ted on the basis of u19 performance

Farhan , Subhan , Ahmed and Hassan
You sure though? Because there is a rule that to get selected for u19 national team, you need to play u19 tournaments at region/division after which you are eligible for u19 national team.

If they bypassed the rule, this is really terrible

Yep I checked the previous U19 and U16 players stats and their names are missing.

BTW that very tall and lanky fellow Abdul Subhan seems like a decent prospect , he is around 6.4/5 and get good bounce and bowls at decent pace around 130-135k , but he is already close to 20 so not going to play worldcup but a good prospect nevertheless.
