He can take him off (which he has done), that's about all. I have never seen the coach of any team give a motivation talk on the pitch as Waqar did today. It tells you a lot.
 
Aamer needs to be brought the other end gul is bowling. Gul needs to concentrate and bowl like he did in 1st inngs or how he bowled at lords in the 2nd inngs.

We need to give kaneria chance now from the end amin is bowling.
 
Gr8 captaincy :) . bringing on the attacking bowler to take with that kind of field .. haha

dont tell me he is new ... he is playing cricket for years now .. u know how to bring pressure .. rotating strike diminish pressure .. thats basic u learn in under 14 cricket
 
Due to not able to get proper support by Umar Gul, in result of bowling Asif and Aamer a lot of overs could possibly result in injuries. Perhaps, that's what Salman Butt is trying to avoid knowing that we have long summer ahead. Gul is wicket taker when he is on song, but he is still yet to prove as Test specialist bowler. I mean he still struggle to press pressure on batsmen. I guess he will have to bowl miraculous deliveries again.
 
I m here losing my patience .. ATTACKing field setting..charge up the bowler automatically ..

BUTT should realize its day 2 .. u cant DRAW a match from here :P .. u have to get them out and win the match

i am taking bets if Kaneria will take any wicket till he gives away:

A. 50 runs
B. 100 runs
C. 150 runs
 
Salman butt being really proactive, he's made the right moves by bringing on aamer and kaneria.

Fellas i believe the wicket has lost some pace and some lateral movement. It will be hardwork getting 8 wickets. INSHALLAH we will do it.

BUT we only lost 7 wickets this morning - 6 of those to a tundler...HOW?

that doesnt mean u spread the field .. . and give them easy single... release the pressure ..

It was bad captaincy not bringing in Aamer right after tea. Sometimes I just don't get these guys. Even a high school captain knows some of this stuff.
 
Stop easy singles in midwicket region. Aamer must bowl over the wicket rather around it.


Pakistan desperately needs wickets.
 
why's kaneria bowling. and why's aamer bowling round the wicket. come on butt, don't lose the plot.
 
Seen it all before. Aus scoring 350-400 in 2nd innings. Pak getting out at 150 losing by 50 runs. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do Pakistan even play Kaneria? Just because a spin bowler must be included to balance the side? If so, Ajmal is a better choice.
 
I think Butt has forgotten we have someone called Mohammad Asif. Ponting didn't use Smith on purpose because there is nothing in the pitch OR the conditions for spinners, and Butt's using Kaneria.
 
Aussies will make probably 500-2 dec. for pakistan 331 to win:)

in return Pakistan will chase down 331-9 with last ball of the match.

Kaneria is the best spinner in the world...please don't insult him by comparing him to smith

Butt is basically experimenting everything. What we can do is be patience.
 
clarke and Pointing set now. Very bad news for us.

I think clarke will eventually get out, but Pointing will be hard to get out.

just cant digest 258 runs in first innings. thats not on!! who is accountable for this.
 
good bowling unit show how it is done in second innings but pak bowler FAIL again and again,it is no coincidence.
Now the over cast condition just like 1st day but no use of line length.

Sorry, but this IS Sydney 2.0. Don't say different captain, different players, different place, blah blah. Same attitude, same feel, same defensive mindset. Chaos is going to ensue when this is over.

Watson actually bowls late inswing quite well but some of his wickets were gifted due to poor shots.



I can't believe ponting who was out twice plumb lbw has gone on to 47 and still not out, what a tragedy.

y should not i be critical. tell me was 258 enough on this wicket?? 100 runs were gives because of poor aus bowling and extras. what did batsmen score???
 
We need a couple of wickets before the end of the day and things will switch around.

258 was a lot considering our batting line up and 170 lead was massive how much more do you want? Our bowling is the strength here and some one besides Aamir needs to step it up.
