lol, one partnership and the knives are out...let's also ignore that 2 top, top players are at the crease.

like someone said, stick to T20 if you can't be patient.

I just hope that Pakistani players are not as negative as their supporters!

We are playing one of the most formidable teams in this world - they WILL NOT ROLLOVER and DIE - nothing is easy - let Salman Butt and his guys work hard for victory.

Yes and its hats off to the Aussies...Credit where credit is due...

However, should Australia have been batting 40 minutes after lunch???
Johnson, Bollinger and the Hilf had a bad day and should we really have lost 4 wickets to Watson today?

Rudi has done it again. this is a parting gift from the old man. It is utterly disgusting. Even Bob is telling it is plumb

Pakistan team knows well what happen in sydney...we have not forgotten that...n i am sure the players are still suffering from that loss mentally...

I don't believe that sydney test debacle will have a effect on pysche of youngers, plus 3 frontlin australian fast bowlers have generally struggled. Wicket condition has improved for batting.

Australia has fought their way back into the test match but we still have lead of 34 runs. Remember it does take couple of good balls to build pressure and eventually making breakthroughs. Asif, Aamer and Gul are still the key even though the wicket is easing off for batting.

It ain't over till it's over. And really, I think we are being a bit too negative. Just because our team - esp the pacers - gave an exceptional performance yesterday.

What are we expecting here, really? That we'll bowl them - the Aussies, no less - all out for under a 100 again?

I think we are doing quite well till now. I see that our bowlers have taken a couple of important wickets till now, and are not really giving away 10 runs an over (which you'd think they are from all the negativity here!) Moreover, Aussies are still trailing behind by over 30 runs. A little more faith in the team, please.

As I said, it ain't over till it's over.

Its the batting I'm really disappointed with...We should have added another 100 runs at the very least...You simply have to cash in when the Aussie frontline bowlers are having a day off! In the second innings expect one or even two of the bowlers to come good!!!

Bowlingwise for us, Gul was atrocious with his short bowling on a slow track and Butt's field placements left much to be desired..Although Butt is young and he'll learn, but someone from the management team should have known better and sent some instructions out to him...

All in all another very good day of test cricket which the Aussies dominated, pretty much each session was won by them...BUT with a slender lead and a whole innings left to bat, we are still in a position to force victory..My concern is that we'll find it difficult to chase down even a smallish total...

All to play for..bring on the third day!

I know how you feel mate, just watching Umar Akmal this morning made me cringe...absolutely horrendous approach...that being said, we've been unlucky, the Aussies had had the rub of the green today...have to try harder tomorrow.

Tomorow is critical. If Ponting/Clarke are there when their lead hits 50 its headed Australia's way...if we can grab 3 or 4 wickets in the morning session its our game.

Remember we are still ahead and the Aussie batsmen are going to have to start anew tommorow, get themselves in again, with the way Asif is bowling he should get them both tommorow inshallah.

Be patient, that is exactly the main test in test cricket. Just put the ball there, let them drive you and you will get a ball which bounces are seams and takes the outside edge or goes in between bat and pad.

So paitence is key and we have a huge chance still, two early wickets tommorow and the game swings back towards us.

We need to get the wickets of Ponting and Clarke before they get anything significant.

David Gower (?) saying it is most probably STUMPS on Day 2.

the only thing is that weather will considerably improve tomorrow. It will be mostly sunny, which batting alot more easier.

Why did PCB refuse to use the referral system ? Ponting would not have survived the review had referral system been in place.

Umpire should have retired long time again. Once again rudi screws us and ponting who was twice out plumb off the first two balls he faced from aamer.

Rudi had no problem in lifting his finger when he gave aamer lbw off watson but when aamer had ponting padding up twice plumb LBW , rudi just frooze into iceman ! what a bloody shame

well done Rudi. what a way to end your fabulous career. You surely are one of the great Aussie Legend.

One of the aussies will definate get a big score thats the way these aussies work theres always one player that leads from the front looks like ponting will lead the way.

These guys dont give you too many chances but once they do you need to take it with both hands. All we needed was one player to score big from 7 batsmen and we would have controlled the game its not a big ask?
