it always has been like this. no wonder all of our mediocre batsmen hv swollen records here.
in fact, even on these barren strips, guys like shafiq, misbah, younis n azhar look scratchy n unable to take control.

this is why i side with mubashir that had guys like umar, haris been given chances on the very same pitches, they would hv done the same if not better.
in fact, we could hv atleast seen some better batsmanship than these mediocre workmen just chugging away

guys like Shafiq, Azhar, Younis etc have decent to great records in other countries as well so definitely not swollen.

This particular pitch is super flat

There is a reason why home track bullies like shehzad, misbah, hafeez only succeed here

Hafeez, is certainly htb. Misbah has seen some success abroad but generally disappointing

Rest have success elsewhere

Umar Akmal while he may have the skills does not have the brain the FC match he played this year in county cricket he got out playing a silly shot so your dreams of him dominating in away Test matches might not turn into reality because for that you need to occupy crease.

Haris Sohail's fitness is nothing to write home about he got unfit in the WC match against South Africa then again got injured without playing in SRL. To top it all off only a few domestic T-20 matches and he got unfit again how he is going to play Test cricket without acceptable fitness is beyond me

Bell all set now. Shan Masood owes us much more than Bell's runs, he has bored us all by that drop!

True re Umar Akmal

Easiness of the opposition bowling and flatness of the pitch hardly every matters when he has a brain fade which are way too common.

Botham at his grumpy best - "no wickets for 400 runs for the spinners...that'll get people flocking into the ground..."

Most Wahab thing ever. Puts load of effort into a good short ball, then follows it up with a short and wide half volley.

If the groundsman is going to dish up a deck where nobody can win, might as well just settle for batting practice.

That's a good way to look at it, but if this was Australia, I am sure they would be going for a win.

Pathetic effort that from Fawad, looks like england will be batting till around end of day 4 at least at this rate

Zulfi bowling good tight overs 7-3-10-0, only if Shobby was a little disciplined pressure would build up

"Chalo Chalo boys thodi dair ki baat hai" - Seems like they are just waiting to back to the dressing room now :))

malik not bowling in his usual self. He was good in Zimbabwe, don't know upset with his wife not tweeting on him or worried about chuking

PAK have been very unlucky this test.

Misbah was NOT out.

Moeen was out. Cook has been out also with LBW, then Fawad the idiot! Bell just got out and Wood shoulda been out caught.

English batting is killing test cricket. Such a snoozefest. I'd rather watch Malik/Hafeez bat than Bell/Ali and that's saying something.

This is the partnership I was really worried about, Root and Cook. If we don't break this early, there is no chance of a win.

I thought we would get Bell early quite easily, but he proved me wrong.

I hope Malik doesnot need a drip today for being out on the field for 10 hours.

Cook solid like a rock.

As expected, this is a dull draw. Both teams piling on runs and bowlers made to work like donkeys.
